Black & Decker Handheld Steamer

I haven't had a full size steamer so I can't compare. I've had this for a couple of weeks now so thes are first thoughts. I bought this to clean the cage of my parrot which I haven't done yet but will work great. The unit puts out a decent amount of steam although the steam cools fairly quickly not far from the nozzle. It does slow down and speed up while using consistently but doesn't really slow me down any. You have to get near the grime for that to work well (or you are just spraying the surface very finely). It does remove grime from the tile grout lines but it is quite tedious. I'm not fond of the child proof trigger that has to be held the whole time. Itd be ideal to have one hand with the nozzle (when using hose attachment) and the other free to wipe up the grime. Not having one hand free gets old quickly. I opt for no hose unless absolutely necessary because of this. The accessories seem well made and snap on and off well. The reservoir is nice trade off for time to work without getting too heavy or large. I think it runs about 20 minutes or so which is as long as I want to hold that trigger. The cord is LONG which is nice. I haven't done lots of cleaning but I wear dress shirts for work that I launder at home. When I haven't ironed this is lots quicker to put my shirt on and steam myself while pulling the fabric taught. About a foot or so out it gives a really fine mist with the heat dissipated so I end up with no wrinkles and shirt essentially dry still. I wish I had this years ago for this alone. The unit heats up as fast as my iron and with no board to deal with I'm out the door in 2 or 3 minutes.
