Teva Women's Wander Chukka

I am a LONG TIME teva fan, their sandals have been my go-to for hitting the trails since i started wilderness camp as a kid about 18 years ago! Unfortunately I noticed some glass around the trail I use frequently and decided to invest in some closed toed trail shoes since I didn't own a pair of sneakers with suitable traction. ANYWAY these exceeded my already pretty high expectations. I value function over form but these shoes hit both nails squarely on the head and I got tons of compliments from coworkers my first day wearing them (i thought i'd need a day to break them in but lo, they softened and felt like clouds within a couple of hours!). Trail shoes and boots are supposed to be a bit snug to keep your foot stable, so if you are looking for a pair of knock around shoes that are looser in the toe box or with enough room to use your own insoles, you may want to order a half size up. They feel the way hiking boots should feel and I don't worry at all about my foot slipping even in old river beds where the rocks are loose or falls where everything is wet! I cannot believe how light weight they are, I just really really love these shoes y'all.
