Hello Slippers Fans! *UPDATE* Unfortunately, Isotoner has decided to cheapen their secret sole. I think I said below that the major reason for purchasing these slippers is that I need the arch support. These slippers were recommended to me by a friend who also has plantar fasciitis. For years, they worked beautifully, with that wonderfully stable, supportive sole right where it was needed and it lasted till the slippers were in shreds. I noticed about a year or so ago when I went to the dept store where I always purchase them, that the secret sole was not longer a secret. The arch support was gone, replaced by overall thicker inner sole. I figured that might work but I was wrong. It didn't and my feet started hurting again. I need the arch support, not overall thicker cushioning. So decided to order online as sometimes can get leftover (better) versions when a company decides to screw up and/or cheapen yet another product. I was wishful thinking, folks. These have overall support like the ones in the store *and* they have flattened like a pancake. If anyone has suggestions for another brand that actually has comfortable arch support, please let me know. Thanks. Well, I am a happy camper right now with my new slippers...and if you've read some of my reviews, I am brutally honest both in a positive and negative sense. These surpassed my expectations as over the last few years it seems Amazon is allowing some pretty low quality vendors to sell products and that makes them look shabby, imo. I used to trust them implicitly until I received broken, expired and unpackaged products. Hair dye with a leak in it?? And no response from the seller. At any rate, these slippers are amazing, better quality and more comfy and supportive than from the dept. store, shipped right away, were professionally packaged, well-priced *and* a different color than I'd ever seen in the store, who never carries any colors besides gray and blue and white. I have plantar fasciitis from too many years of hard workouts and my feet are beat. About 5 yrs ago, someone told me about these slippers and along with rolling my feet over tennis balls 5 min per day and *never* going barefoot (sob), my feet do not hurt at all except for just a tinge in the AM. These slippers are a must and I can't afford orthotics. In my case, I don't need them but can't do without these slippers. I just ordered another pair and will look for other products I need from this seller. They are fantastic! Thank you, Slice A Deal! Wonder if Albert Pujols knows about these?? LOL

Pretty but disappointing with so-so quality

I had a nice pair of sheepskin slippers by SLPRS that I bought on Amazon in Nov. 2019, but last week I accidentally stepped in a big pile of doggie poop. I dk if I'll ever get them clean, and I decided with a truly ancient and ailing dog I really needed to buy some washable slippers. Enter these Isotoners. THE GOOD: I bought the light gray, "scalloped" shaped with little flowers. They actually are very pretty and not too froufrou. I really like the color, the subtle feminine flowers, and I find the scalloped shape of the top unexpectedly flattering to my feet. The fabric is soft. THE NOT-SO-GOOD: The "memory foam" is too squishy and thus doesn't really provide much support. That goes for the "arch support," too. Not a lot, despite their claims. The "outdoor" sole is not a solid piece of rubber like my SLPRS, rather the sole is like a plastic shell over who knows what. It kinda clicks, doesn't cushion and seems as if it won't last very long. To be determined. And lastly, they are a much narrower fit than previous slippers I have owned. Because the material gives, I can wear them, but all of these negatives add up to the fact that these slippers are nowhere near as comfortable as I had hoped. However, sadly, my dog will be 117 in Golden Retriever years later this month and has a number of issues that number his days. If these slippers see me through this period, I will console myself in part by buying another pair of sheepskin SLPRS, which were less than half the price of UGGS and much more comfortable than these. I noticed some negative reviews complaining the slippers fell apart within a month or two. As I just got them two days ago, I can't speak to that now, but will add that in an update if it turns out to be a problem for me.
