Cuisinart 2-Quart Revitalize Kettle

Great seller. Lightning fast delivery. The product however was not so great. The seam around the middle circumference of the pot broke and nearly spilled hot water on one of our guests. This pot was never exposed to high heat, was never dropped or damaged and was always hand washed. I sent the pot back under warranty and it took nearly two months to get the replacement. I examined the new pot when it arrived and it is constructed the same as the pot that failed, there is a seam the circumference of the pot that attaches the bottom of the pot to the top section. To me it appears to be a serious design flaw that may have serious consequences. While waiting for the replacement pot to arrive we purchased a Wolfgang Puck tea pot, at Sam's Club, and it appears to be of better construction. I doubt we will ever use the replacement pot that Cuisinart sent us because we fear it would fail and burn someone, we will probably use it as a decoration or throw it away. This is sad because we own numerous Cuisinart products and they have always been satisfactory.
