Beutiful planters, plastic a little on the weak side

I love these deck planters! They saddle my porch rails perfectly without movement. I love the way they make the front porch of my Cape Cod look. I have 9 of them. I can say that they need to be handled with care. One arrived with a major crack....and the company was quick to send out a replacement. I then added some minor cracks in some of the others with lifting by the lip of the planter instead of the base, and when drilling drain holes in the bottom (though I was using a rather large drill bit and noticed an improvement when downsizing the bit size). I had other planter for many years in the past that I can say felt sturdier, but they did not sit well on the railing requiring me to strap a wood plate onto the railing. They also were a terracotta color. I love the chocolate brown and that the sit so nicely! Definitely would buy again and just handle with care.

Not a good fit but sturdy.

I bought several of these with the intention to put them along our deck and fill them with seasonal flowers to spruce up our outdoor living area. The slot inside of these to hang on the rail of the deck is so large I cannot imagine what kind of deck it would actually fit on. There are even 2 size options for the railing and even with that the flower box still falls over and topples to the ground. My husband had to screw these into the railing to hold them on and even with doing that I did not like the look of them as they are too wide for me. I ended up using these as planters for decorative flowers on the ground that lined a path. I could have just planted these flowers along the path so it really did not help me at all but because I had already purchased them I decided to use them. Long story short, if you are considering these measure your railings. They will only fit extremely wide railings and the planters themselves are short and wide. The plastic of the planters itself is sturdy but the overall shape and design is not compatible with most railings people would be looking for.
