Worked right out of the box without installing anything.

I have an older Chromebook that I put Windows 10 Pro on so I could get more use out of it. Working from home, I wanted to use this laptop as a backup, but I needed an ethernet connection (not wifi). I plugged this in and was going to put the cd that came with it into my desktop (it has a cd drive) but it just started working after about 3 seconds. To be able to order this on Tuesday for $10 and get it the next day, and the fact that it works so well, what else can I say but perfect! I purchased the USB 2.0 model because this computer doesn't have the newer USB ports and I really only planned on using it for just this one computer, but seeing how well this works, this will be a much better option than buying new ethernet or network cards for my desktops since the desktops I build usually have around 15 built in USB ports (I only use 2 or 3 at most at time

Flat out doesn't work on my mac

Came with a driver to install via CD. I don't have a CD port just like I don't have an ethernet port on my mac, which is why I had to buy this. So I set out to find the driver online, which strangely isn't posted anywhere on this page. Only through digging through reviews and answered questions from customers did I find out that the company that makes this (Asix) has the drivers available for download online. I download the relevant version for my mac, reboot, nothing working. I dig out a CD drive to USB and grab the installer from the provided CD, install, reboot, still nothing works. No lights turning on, nothing. I've followed multiple setup instructions online, but I've had absolutely no luck in getting this object to do anything. From reading reviews it seems to work fine on Windows, but I would not recommend this for mac users.
