I’ve had it 9 years now and it still works incredible. I used it back when I was vegan haha now use it for carnivore meals. And yea it’s a great great blender it blends up meat it blends up any food basicly. Also if it overheats it’ll do something in the engine and be ready to use in 20 or 30 mins again. I love it

Good but no better than my old blender
By Richard on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2024
I bought into the hype and replaced my 10-year Oyster blender with this Vitamix. Not going to lie - the vitamix performs no differently than my “normal” blender did. The Vitamix is a great blender, don’t get me wrong. It just isn’t a big upgrade from what I had before.

We bought this blender in September of 2016 here on Amazon. Two months later we bought the 32 ounce wet container, also from Amazon. We have been using the blender since then, at LEAST once a day but usually multiple times a day, every day. About 4 months ago we noticed some leakage around the bottom of the 32 ounce container. Since it was past the warranty, we went ahead and bought the wrench, assuming the blade assembly had just come loose after all the usage. But when we investigated further we realized the blade was actually wobbling side to side and the bottom was not loose. So the search for a new blade assembly began. You don't realize how many different types and sizes of containers Vitamix has until you need to find parts for a specific one. I couldn't find the assembly, and a new container was $150. Being in the mind set of repair rather than replace, I decided to reach out to Vitamix and see if they could tell me where to find a new blade assembly for my specific container. I just went to their website and submitted my question there. I honestly did not really expect a reply, but just a few days later I checked my email and found that they had responded that they no longer offer separate blade assemblies, but they wanted to get me blending again so they asked a few simple questions about the container and the blender base. One of the steps was to wiggle the drive socket in the center of the base and then see if it lifted out easily. It did, but not super easily, so I didn't think anything of it. I sent my answers over and fully expected a pat response that, yep, the container was broken and time to buy a new one. But to my surprise they told me the blender base needed repair and they were emailing me a UPS label to ship it, and the container, back to them. There was no mention of a repair fee, so with some hesitation that this was too good to be true, I packed up the unit and the container and sent them on their way. And boy, did we miss them when they were gone! They sent a notification when they received the unit, and the next day they sent a notification that it was on its way back to us. When it arrived, we discovered that they had replaced the drive socket and "pot switch" (not sure what that was) and given us a shiny new container! We immediately put it to use and found that the motor was much quieter and tighter, if that makes any sense. It feels like the blender is brand new, even though we didn't feel like it was in need of servicing in the first place. We were already impressed with the blender and had no problem recommending it to friends and family. But honestly the customer service blew us away, especially nowadays when it seems like the goal is built-in obsolescence so that companies can continue making more and more money by forcing consumers to replace a whole unit when just one small part of it has gone wrong. We're not sure why they went ahead and replaced the container, too, since it was past the warranty - maybe the issues with the blender base caused the blade assembly to wobble like it did? The 64 ounce container that came with the blender is still working fine, as far as we can tell, and it is only used marginally less than the smaller one. Either way, we are very grateful that they got us up and blending again!
Very Sturdy

1) The unit is very stable. If I let go of the unit while it's running it will not shake or fall over. It does not walk off the counter. It does not wiggle. 2) The unit is very sturdy. Mine survived a spoon, the blades were damaged but the unit survived. 3) The unit always turns on, first try, every time. My old unit was a different brand that was super finicky and had to be seated just right to turn on. It had poorly implemented safety feature involving lining up the container with the base. This one is so easy to use, you just sit the container not the base, that's it, no fussing. 4) Easy to clean. 5) Excellent customer support. When I had the spoon incident they responded right away and were very helpful. Obviously blending a spoon is not covered under warranty but they helped me get a my unit working again ASAP. 6) The shape of the container is awesome. The low profile container may be partly what makes it so stable, it's shorter and wider. My old container had a very small area around the blade and thicker mixtures sometimes would not move down from the top to blend thoroughly but I haven't had any issues with with the low profile container. Probably partly due to container shape, size of blades, and the power of the unit.

I purchased this blender to replace my existing blender by another popular manufacturer that had started to malfunction after only a year. After some research I heard about VitaMix, and that some people had had theirs for years. In the age of planned obsolescence l, I really try to find items that are high quality and will last (or can be repaired). VitaMix had a good reputation for many years so I took a chance and ordered this blender in used condition from Amazon Warehouse Deals at a significant discount. First, the blender arrived - despite description - in basically brand new condition (Thanks Amazon!) apart from some scuffing and wear on the box. The blender is heavy and appears well-made. It weighs more than my old blender and feels more solid. As advertised, the low profile of the 7500 means it fits under the counter. In terms of actual blending, I highly recommend this machine. While my old blender had more blades positioned on a removable tube, the VitaMix has a single blade but far outperforms in terms of blend quality. For example, I frequently make smoothies using fibrous items like celery and fresh ginger. With my old blender, you’d be chewing on bits and pieces of the celery no matter how much you puréed it. With the VitaMix, I get a completely smooth product - no hint of graininess or fiber bits in the juice. Ice, vegetables, fruit, etc all blend with absolute ease. Making nut butter is also very simple but takes more time; simply throw in the almonds or peanuts and blend, the end result is smooth and delicious. So far I am loving this machine. A+ for blend quality and warranty and it was definitely well worth the price. I wish I had saved up for this one in the beginning rather than buying a cheaper alternative that failed anyhow. If you blend items frequently, VitaMix is the way to go and this model - while not the top of their line - still doesn’t compromise.
The clean up is great. You're not supposed to put this model in ...

I was in the same boat as most Vitamix lusters. It's expensive so I wondered if the purchase is justified by all the alleged features. I'm here to tell you that I'm a believer. By biggest beefs with homemade smoothies are 1) noise of the blender, b) the icy bits which make them less smooth than store bought smoothies and c) hassle of cleanup. The 7500 has the motor that is supposedly 40% quieter than other Vitamixers (and other blenders as well). It's still a blender but there is no high pitched whirl that it common with the cheap blenders that I've owned. And the motor is so strong that the Vitamix is on for a much shorter period of time. In this short time. I get a smooth drink with no ice pieces. The clean up is great. You're not supposed to put this model in the dishwasher but all you have to do is fill about half way with water and add some drops of dishwashing soap. No scrubbing required if you don't let stuff dry on the sides. One note, I bought the 48oz container because I read reviews on the larger container that comes with the original purchase. I live by myself so I think the 48oz better fit my needs. I having been using this machine almost every day. I never used my old blender because it was a lot of work to make something that was not as good as what I could buy at a smoothie store.
Lives up to the hype

Have used this at least 5 times a week since we bought it. The cost per use is unbelievable! Honestly we are down to probably just pennies per smoothie because of how often we have used this. At this point in my life, I save up and buy quality over quantity. We got sick and tired of spending $50-75 on blenders all the time (and even then, they did a poor job). Should have just bought this YEARS ago. My picky eater who hates vegetables is getting is 5-6 servings every day. I throw spinach, carrots, cucumbers, etc in the fruit smoothies and you cannot taste anything. Word of the wise to parents: throw a lime (peeled) in every smoothie and it will hide any and every vegetable flavor you throw in. :) Another tip - 1 cup of blueberries will turn almost any smoothie purple. :) Definitely makes the fruit & veggie smoothies more palatable for picky eaters. We love that this blends any and all fruits, vegetables, etc into a velvety smooth drink. I cannot get over how many greens my kids are now getting each week in their smoothie. Wish I would have had this when my kids were toddlers - it would have solved all the food battles. Still on the fence (I know, it's a huge purchase). Research how much money the average American family throws away in spoiled produce a month. We have virtually eliminated throwing any produce away - ever. For example: pears that are getting a little mushy and no one will eat - we throw them in a smoothie. A few measly carrots in the bottom of the bag? Bananas that only have a couple days left but your kids won't eat them because of a brown spot or two? All these things we throw into the morning smoothie and rarely throw anything away anymore. All that savings in not throwing away produce could pay for your Vitamix in a couple month's time. I hope this helps someone. :) And truly, it is such a healthy thing for families to be able to give their kids really high quality meals-in-a-cup. Like I said, I wish I would have bought this 10 years ago!

The vitamix is a great tool -- easy to use & clean. It will power through ice and other solids, until it doesn't. When I make very thick, very cold smoothies, it will simply stop spinning and make a grinding noise. I assume this is a safety measure to disengage the blades when they simply cannot turn. But it's odd that it happens with frozen blueberries (for example) and not, like, ice cubes. When the entire mixture gets super-cooled, Vitamix gives up. I have to turn it off and shake the contents around to get started (I do this 5 or 10 times for a good thick smoothie).
EVEN BETTER THAN OUR OLD VITAMIX!

We have had and used and old Vitamix for about 25years and still love it. We bought the new 7500 because we acquired a second home and didn’t want to haul heavy stuff back and forth. Before buying the new Vitamix we first bought a highly touted competitor from Costco. Total disappointment. Its stacked multiple blades chased ingredients around the jug trying to chop them as opposed to the vortex flow of the Vitamix which constantly feeds ingredients onto the single powerful blade which PULVERIZES in a dramatically better way. We took the competitor back. The new 7500 arrived from Amazon in just 3 days! We like it even better than our trusty older one! The shorter, wider jug is more effectively self-cleaning than the older higher design and the extra width at the base allows easier manual cleaning under and around the blades when needed. The rubberized jug lid too is better. The new rendition has flexible lug clips incorporated which snap easily over the jug rim for a perfect fit and make the lid far easier use than the older design which was stiff and required finger strength to snap it on. We just love our white 7500. We joke to our friends that “This thing could make a smoothie out of old 2X4s!” And you know what? We may just be right.
Significant improvement over the 5300 blender. Definitely A LOT QUIETER and doesn't overheat easily.

Our last blender had broken a while ago. Since it was just me and the my wife we managed with just using the Magic Bullet MBR-1701 17-Piece Express Mixing Set. That was until we put one in the oven ;) and we decided having a nice blender would be nice to make some nutritious meals for my wife and the baby. We initially bought the Vitamix 5300 Blender, Black from Costco as we were trying to save as much as possible. However, the first time I tried it to make my wife a smoothie for breakfast she woke up complaining what the crazy noise was. I definitely noticed it was LOUD, however i thought it was just the nature of the BEAST. I did a bit of research and read that the Vitamix G series is 40% quieter than the C-Series. I shopped around and found the Vitamix 7500 here on Amazon for not that much more than we'd gotten the 5300. I was hesitant initially as I thought it was too good to be true. I pulled the trigger anyways and bought the 7500 in white. To keep it short, we returned the 5300 and kept the 7500. And we LOVE IT. Not sure if it's 40% quieter, but it is definitely A LOT QUIETER. The other plus, is that it doesn't overheat as quickly. The 5300 in comparison quickly smelled like burned plastic after a few seconds. I can leave the 7500 on for a whole minute and maybe only then you can smell a hint of typical overheating smell. The result, our smoothies and soups come out like whipped cream...DELICIOUS!! Some tasty healthy recommendations for smoothies. Whether you like these or not I highly recommend researching what Foods should not be combined ( Acid Fruit, Sweet Fruit, Sub-Acid, Nuts, Low and High Starch Vegetables ) if you care about your families bellies. - Papaya, Kale (or other leafy green), Kefir - Pineapple, Aloe, Arugula (or other leafy green) - Kiwi, Avocado, Aloe - Beets, Leafy Green, Ginger
I Absolutely Love My New 7500 Vitamix

OMG! I love love love my new Vitamix. Yes, it is very expensive, and that is why I went back and forth about buying it. Anyway, can't believe I didn't know about Vitamix until earlier this year. My life is changed (my husband rolls his eyes when I start in about my new Vitamix and how my life is changed, but I feel like it is). I have only had it 3-4 days, but have been making smoothies (with fruit, vegetables, yogurt, almond milk) that are incredibly delicious. And today, I used it like a food processor and it was fabulous. That extra bit of fabulousness is what is making me declare my love in public. We have a Cuisinart, but I hate using it because the bowl, feeding tube and blade are pains to put on properly and then the cleaning is a mess (worry about cutting myself). Anyway, today, I chopped 5 different things for 2 recipes in my sweet Vitamix and it was a champ. One quick clean-up. One thing to note is that the 7500 is an "under the counter" model (and has the wide container which makes it nice for food processing). However, it did not fit under my counter since we have under-counter lights installed and that eats up a portion of an inch. I still had a place for it but others might not and I wanted to be sure to alert folks to that (this was one of the answers that I was searching for in my own research). But I love it so much that even that does not make me lower my star count since it was about 8 stars in my book, anyway. So, if you are deliberating, then let me tell you - go for it. Now, I off to make a smoothie.....
