When I opened this mirror for the car I could not believe how big and clear it is. The mounting in the car is easy, the quality is great, it helps me see my baby nice and clearly, the screen is large and provides peace of mind as a mom to see him in the back. it is light weight. I bought two more for other cars to use. This is a great buy and if you need to give to a new mom I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

Safety Inspectors Told us to Return

As a product, this is fine and delivers on what it is advertised to be. I was happy with it until we took our car with infant carseat and mirror installed, to a hospital-run certified car seat inspection. They advised us to return and not buy any additional mirrors for 2 reasons: 1) the mirror is a projectile risk: even though it appeared to be secured well, the safety team said it is against US standards to use the mirror because it has a risk of becoming a projectile in a crash and injuring us or the baby. 2) studies have shown that the use of mirrors is actually more distracting than a crying baby. They shared that drivers are more likely to look in the mirror at their baby than the road ahead, which increases the chance of accidents. Sorry, I don't have links to reports to document any of this, just sharing what the safety clinic advised to us. Suggest asking your doctors for their advice.
