Reliable Performance at a Great Price
By Ione Brasil on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2025
I’ve been using the Amazon Basics AAA Alkaline High-Performance Batteries for various household devices, and they’ve consistently delivered dependable power. Whether it’s for remote controls, flashlights, or digital cameras, these batteries provide steady performance without any noticeable drop in power. The 10-year shelf life is a significant advantage, ensuring that I can stock up without worrying about them losing charge over time. One aspect I appreciate is the value for money. Compared to other name brands, these batteries offer similar performance at a fraction of the cost. The packaging is straightforward and easy to open, which is a minor but welcome convenience. While they are not rechargeable, for single-use batteries, they meet all my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable batteries without breaking the bank.

Good Enough Batteries but Die Faster
By MeV on Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2025
I have a subscribe and save for Amazon Basics AAA batteries and also for Energizer Max AAAs. I use them in my keyboard, mouse and some remote controls. I REALLY wanted to love these Amazon batteries because of the cheaper price point. And that is definitely a positive. However, they just do not last as long in any of these devices as the Energizer Max. I find myself changing these out more frequently enough that it's noticeable. I recently realized that it's so noticeable that I had started always making sure I had backup batteries for those devices, even for a short trip of a day or two and even when my keyboard and mouse weren't showing any of the "signs" that the batteries were going, like the keyboard mot registering every keystroke or the mouse skipping around. Once that starts, the Energizer Max's will limp along for a few days, but the Amazon Basics will die FAST! The clincher for me was I had to take an extended trip to my parents and I purposefully packed my last sets of the Energizer Max batteries instead of the Amazon Basics. I literally heard myself say "nope" when I pulled the Amazon batteries out. Like I said, they are good enough and I'm fine using them at home. But the longevity of use isn't equal to others in low-voltage, slow drain devices.
