DEWALT DCL050 20V MAX LED Work Light (Open Box)

This light is bright and cast a broad, generous, circle of light at both settings. It is very comfortable in the hand and both the trigger mechanism and battery connection feel very solid. Having an adjustable head is a great addition. Where my (now second) unit fails is in execution and attention to detail - I am taking into account its price point, at 30 dollars it's 4-5 stars, but at near 50 dollars (without battery) not worth it. The first unit had poorly directed LEDs which caused it to have an distractingly large bright spot in the middle. The second unit did not have this issue, but the ratcheting mechanism used to adjust the angle of the head was loose in places causing it to collapse into an undesired position. Lastly, when the head is pointing all the way back (directed toward ceiling) any slight bump will cause the light to fall over backward - it is unstable at this angle and its silly Dewalt didn't consider this. Not recommended at this price.
