This thing is GREAT!
By Jay on Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2017
After my phone battery had died on a 20 mile ride, I knew that I needed to find something with a little more battery life to it, and this seemed like the perfect choice at the perfect price. It is, but required a bit of work to make it so. Out of the box, the unit froze up every time I tried to turn it on. I was to the point of returning it until I read some other reviews and decided to try to hook it to my computer (Windows 10, no problems) and see what happened. Once it was plugged in, I was prompted to update the software, and went ahead and did so. It took a good 45 minutes for everything to download and install. I don't know if that's a result of my lousy internet connection, or this thing was just THAT out of date. Either way, once everything was updated, the Cyclo 315 works like a champ! I love this little GPS! It tracks all kinds of data, will determine routes for you (I travel, and sometimes am not familiar with the area in which I'm riding, so this is a nice feature), it will automatically sync with your Strava account, compatible with ANT+ devices (though I haven't tried that yet), turn by turn directions, the list goes on... Since I updated the software right after receiving this, I have had absolutely NO problems with it. Works perfectly, and I have seen none of the glitches or incompatibility with Windows 10. I'm running Windows 10 on the only computer that I use with this GPS, and it works fine. This is a really solid GPS unit at an amazing price! Very happy with it! **UPDATE** 11/8/2018 Well, I've been using this GPS for just over a year now, and it's probably one of the best purchases I have made since I started cycling. I love this thing! Since my original review, I have added an ANT+ heart rate monitor and cadence/speed sensors, and the Magellan easily links up and records the data from both. I have used this in all kinds of weather, and it has held up like a champ. It even survived a pretty good crash with only a scuff to the case (I've since added a silicon cover just in case I crash again). When I bought mine the price was around $70, so I see that it's gone up, but even at $150 this unit is an incredible bargain. It does as much, or more than some of the $300 GPS units I've seen. Highly recommended!

Updated: There's a reason it's cheaper than that competition
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2017
Update: Finally, during the last week of October, after three months being only partially functional, Magellan USA was able to produce a manual update that made my US model work with the current Windows 10 update. Just around 90 days. Magellan US support is a joke. Oh, you finally get to talk to a manager but all he really does is apologize for his company's lousy quality control and service. For furture GPS purchases of any kind, my answer will be "anything but Magellan!" Update: It's now September 20th, and these units still don't work with Windows 10 with Creator's Update (though the European MIO variant got fixed in July). Wrote to the CEO of Magellan USA, which got me a messaged by Magellan's support manager, who made all the right noises, but 20 days later, the firmware update still hasn't been posted for the US variants (which seem to be on the same firmware numbers as the MIO variants). Pitiful. When a Windows 10 update came out in July 2017, this device would no longer connect to USB. Magellan's lame answer was "use a back level version of Windows." Well, that assumes you have a machine that hasn't yet updated and can turn off Microsoft's forced Windows 10 updates. Tech support promised a firmware upgrade that would fix the problem last week. Well, last week has come and gone, and no joy. And a lot of people will be out of luck because in order to update you have to connect and if you've already got the patch on windows, you can't connect... chicken-and-egg. Magellan is very insensitive to their customers' plight; they expect that they will not update their computers so that the Cyclo will work. If you don't have multiple computers, at least one of which isn't updated, you're out of luck. And their communication is terrible. The onus is on the customer to figure out when the update to the Cyclo firmware might show up. Also, the included cadence and speed sensors simply don't work with my bike (a Giant Roam). The geometry is wrong, and there's no way to position them so that they're close enough to the trigger magnets to work, while not being in the way of something more important. Finally, Magellan's software on the computer and in their app can display in feet and miles, but as soon as you share your ride to social media, it posts only in the metric system. There's a reason, I guess, why these are selling so far below MSRP.
