Saucony Men's Hurricane ISO Running Shoe (9)

I have been an Asics runner for more than a decade. This year I am turning 50 and set an audacious goal to run 50 miles on my 50th birthday. I knew this would require a dramatic increase in my weekly running distance. Only a week into this plan and my forefoot was suffering from the stress of the distance with continuous soreness. I tried adjusting my running gate to land more on my midfoot and my big toe but this put more stress on my legs. After two weeks I was beggining to think I might have to abandon my goal. The answer came when I saw these shoes on the deal of the day. A quick check at runningworld website showed these shoes having a highly padded forefoot. I ordered a pair and as soon as they arrived I began using these on all of my runs. They are great! My feet now are feeling much better as are my legs. I've regained my confidence that I can handle the training volume and my audacious goal is possible. No doubt that I have a lot of work to do...fifty miles in a day is not going to be easy. These shoes are helping give me the confidence I can get there.
