Summit Treestands Mini Viper SD Climbing

I’m 6’2 and 200 lbs. I sit below the level of the bar and fit very comfortably in this “mini” stand, especially since I also bought the summit foot extension for the platform. It’s very light, comfortable, easy to use, and sturdy. However, the design of this stand for the high price is a letdown. The profile is very large on your back when carrying it in and out of the woods. This is because it doesn’t completely fold down. I can’t think a reason why they would leave that feature out, as many other companies include that feature without compromising on the weight limit or sturdiness. Also, the cable attachment system is not very easy to use. It’s difficult to slide the cables in and out of the stand arms. They constantly get stuck or jammed in there to the point that the rubber coating starts stripping off on the first use. Again, other brands have much better cable attachment systems that are much easier to use and are still quiet. It just seems a bit lazy on the part of the engineers. Good stand. But it would be a great stand if they made it able to fold down completely, making it much lower profile when carrying it, and if they improved the cable attachment system.
