Best foam roller ever
By M. Bardo on Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2023
Excellent foam roller size. I thought it would be too narrow but it is perfect. Pros Tough material Doesn’t give in when extra weight is placed on it Long lasting Multiple uses and it hasn’t fallen apart or shed Cons None

Great Roller, But Needs Better Instruction Manual and User Support For the Price
By Eudaimonium on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2016
Great Roller, But Needs Better Instruction Manual and User Support For the Price I purchased both the 26" TriggerPoint Grid 2.0 and the 13" Grid X figuring I wanted the longer, softer version to accommodate my larger frame and as an introduction to foam rolling and the remarkably harder Grid X for targeting more specific areas once I became used to the 2.0. My past experience has only been with the black molded polypropylene versions, and I have to admit that the TriggerPoint Grids are definitely an upgrade from that, and if they prove to last longer than the molded rollers, then perhaps it's actually worth the extra expense (remains to be seen). For anyone new to rolling, I'd definitely not start out with the harder Grid X because it might prove so painful that it'll dissuade you from continuing to use it altogether; the original version is bad enough if you're new to it. Unfortunately, I also feel like the 13" version is a little too short for working both legs at once (which is how you may want to start rather than placing all your weight on one leg at a time) and for rolling the upper and lower back (or at least it is for my 6'3" body). This means you'll probably also eventually wind up purchasing both since the 26" Grid 2.0 version can prove a little ungainly for some exercises where you really want to use something shorter. So, while I do recommend both the Grid 2.0 and the Grid X as rollers, why only 3 stars? I took off a star because of price and another for lack of documentation. They seem pretty expensive for what they are (some molded foam wrapped plastic pipe), especially given that there are other similar products out there that are much less expensive like the Master of Muscle Muscle Mauler or traditional molded rollers for much, much less. The instructions that come with the rollers are only printed on the packaging and not particularly instructive (for this price point, a real manual with complete instructions for more than just a few exercises is justified). The "Free Online Instructional Videos" are also lacking, at best. After going through the sign up process to the video portal, the only videos available covered the calves, quadriceps, upper back and lats. What about the lower back, hamstrings, pecs...? The videos seem incomplete, at best, and hardly a proper justification of the price you're paying for some plastic and foam. You'll be stuck trying to find further instructions elsewhere for a more complete rolling experience, or stuck shelling out more money to purchase their instructional videos and online courses (which is where the purchase of this product seems intended to lead). I've got the rollers now, and they're great. Given that, it's probably not worth my time and energy to try out the Master of Muscle Muscle Mauler for comparison, but I'd advise someone considering both to try the Muscle Mauler out first, and you might be perfectly happy with that for a fraction of the price (you can always return it on Amazon if you don't like it, but lots of reviews say you won't). I wound up doing a Google search for "Muscle Mauler pdf" so I could find the Muscle Mauler pdf manual that was a lot more instructive with 30 pages of exercises than what came with the TriggerPoint Grids (virtually nothing). That's the sort of manual that should have come with the Grids! Anyway, great rollers, but offered by a seemingly greedy manufacturer that seems more interested in sucking customers further down their consumer pipeline toward purchasing further instruction for their use rather than providing more comprehensive help up front.
