updated - still in love with it after almost 5 years!

Okay, I don't usually write reviews, however, this one deserves it. First, understand, I am disabled, so that fact influences my review. There are plenty of reviews that talk about getting it out of the box, putting the handle together etc....so I'll skip that. Suffice it to say, it's easy. Simple. Nothing to it. Takes about 2 minutes - even for me! Use. First time out I grabbed one of the mopheads and mopped my floor with just plain hot water. UGHHH......what I thought was a clean floor, certainly wasn't (but it is now!). Now, I've always worried about mops retaining dirt, and just spreading dirt around. So, upon seeing the gross, dirty water, I did an experiment. I spun out the mop, emptied the bucket, refilled it with plain, hot water. I then rinsed the mophead in the bucket, and spun it out again. Virtually no dirt came out of the mop, which reassures me that I'm not just spreading dirt around. So, clean floor accomplished I decided that my next experiment would be with a normal days cleaning. So, next morning, at 8:30am I grab the clean, unused mophead, attach it, and start with the dusting. I dusted the windows, ceiling fans, electronics, TV, shelves, skirting boards, you name it. All was done in no time flat, with very little effort, and virtually no dust spreading around. (a couple of clumps came off the ceiling fan, but the fan was pretty bad, so I forgave it that! LOL). Now, I have these beautiful doors going into our office. Wood, with glass panels. Lovely, but a ROYAL PAIN to clean. I usually struggle to try and get them streak free etc. Well, I used the mop head (no spray or anything) and just rubbed the glass - grandbaby fingerprints disappeared before my eyes. My office doors are now streak free, and lovely. YAY! So, now next step to cleaning - wet moping. I have a lot of tile - Kitchen, hallway, laundry room, bathrooms........there's a lot. It's all lovely, and doesn't show the dirt (it's stone tile), so it can be misleading sometimes. I grabbed the mop head that I had designated for floors (note, I chose not to sweep first, just to see how well it did), and got to work - again, nothing but hot water. Did the Kitchen, and the hallway. Bear in mind, did the Kitchen last night, but today I attached the scrub brush to scrub the grout between the tiles (a job that normally takes scrubbing on hands and knees and is very difficult for me to do). I then went over it with the mop head once the grout had been scrubbed. The floor looks completely different now! Front lobby, other hallway, and then the bathrooms. Easy peasy. It got around the toilets, and grabbed all the nasty dust, hair and such that tends to collect in bathrooms. I also noticed that it grabbed any, and all bits of dust and debris from along the skirting boards. Something that up to now has taken either sweeping, or getting down on hands and knees. All my skirting boards (and there is a lot of wood in this house) are dirt, dust and debris free. I emptied the bucket down the shower drain. I then used the scrub attachment to scrub the shower tile (we have a large walk-in tiled shower that's about 8 feet from entrance to end). The rinsed it off with clean water. Cleaning that shower has always been a huge pain for me! (literally!) The floors dried VERY quickly, because the mophead really doesn't feel very wet after you've spun it out. I was done, completely finished, 9:15am. And just to clarify - we live in a house that has 2200 SQ Ft, it's not a small house. So, there you have it....my verdict....BRILLIANT! One more point to add. For those of you that might have issues with the mop-head tipping. It's all in the technique. Don't over-reach. If you don't over-reach, and you walk WITH the mop, you will find that it doesn't tip. Using it for just 30 minutes, and I had the technique pretty much down-pat, and with how easy it makes cleaning, it's certainly worth taking the time to get the hang of it! Finally for those few who have mentioned being worried about "scratching". Um, I don't see how, the base of the mop-head is totally soft. There is nothing sharp, or coarse on the base of the mop-head. It was certainly soft enough for me to not be at all worried about using it on the TV screens and such. Thank you to the makes for making a product that really does make cleaning easier. No, it's not cheap, but you're getting quality workmanship (the steel spin bucket is brilliant). The wheels work great. Overall, I have no negatives on this, the only small request I would make is to add an extension onto the handle that is used for pulling the bucket, and perhaps a drainage plug would be nice too, for those of us that find lifting/tipping a challenge (although it wasn't that hard for me, and I'm disabled). I love the fact that the handle retracts automatically though. My two mop heads are now being washed, ready for my next cleaning day......I kinda wish it came with 4 mop heads though, because I could use having a couple more. I just hate to spend even more money! LOL Update - almost 5 years on....I still LOVE my Mopnado! We've moved overseas (military) and have had hardwood floors for the last couple of years...and my Mopnado handles them perfectly. Best system for dealing with hardwood - while also making sure you have lovely clean floors. I am buying new mop heads because mine are getting old - as an fyi - this is only my first replacement set...and I haven't had any shedding or anything, I just felt like I should probably replace them! The system has proven to be a brilliant system, hasn't broken, hasn't caused me any issues - and as a disabled person I have particular needs. This system works!

I hate moping and thought this product would make it easier ...
By JTW on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2014
I was exciting after reading all the reviews and watching all the youtube videos. I hate moping and thought this product would make it easier (and less unpleasant). Before, I had a squeegee type mop that I used with a regular bucket of water. It did the job well, picked up dust/dirt/hair and was fairly quick. Only problem was, it also left streaks since it was very hard to get the squeegee head dry enough. The Mopnado does all that AND is much better at reducing streaks... but for me, it added two issues I now have to deal with. First, (but rather small issue) the handle is flawed. My mop doesn't lock in place that well. I'm 6'1" and need every inch on the mop handle. However, after mopping a few strokes, the handle shrinks down 3 or 4 inches and I either have to bend my back lower or unlock/readjust the handle. I'll probably need to get the extension to save my back. Second, the water bucket leaks water when I'm spinning the mop head dry. I'm probably an isolated case, but upon inspection, I noticed the white "lid" part of the bucket is not completely locked down. The "lid" part I'm trying to describe is the white piece that the top handle is connected to. There are small plastic "hooks" under it that is suppose to latch and lock over the lower part of the bucket. My lid seems to be deformed and only one side locks properly. The other side is not, and when I try to push it back in, it pops back out again. I don't know for sure if this is what's causing the water to leak but mine always leaks on that same side, and as a result, I can't roll the bucket with me without leaving a trail of water. I have to lift the entire thing up if I want to move the water bucket. Also it's a bit tricky to mop up all the water left behind... knowing that you're unable to dry the mop head without leaving another puddle of water. Other than those two issues, the mop works as advertised. The spin cycle to dry the mop is great. The mop heads are very high quality and is probably worth it to get another set.... after I buy the extension handles first.
