Lots of research prior to buying - BB2000 was an excellent choice
By John H. Burton on Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2025
I had never bought a bidet prior to this one, the BB2000. I"ve traveled Europe a bit, and even Japan, kept wondering "what do they know that we don't know? (Americans who mostly don't use bidets)". Now I get it. I"ve had the BB2000 for 4 weeks now, thus I"ll impart some comments to hopefully assist others. Choice of this bidet vs other products will be a theme here since it occupied most of my time being a new buyer. Price: I researched all the "luxury" bidets with a target range of price of 300-600. Couldn't stomach going over that price for something on the toilet and new to my experience. But then again, if your rectum is happy all day, and not itching or whatever, you'd pay that price easily right? Still, there aren't many in the ultra range above this price level, so I set my ceiling at 600. Features: 1. Lid automatic. Not important to me, and likely not desired. Wife likes to keep the lid up at all times. Moved this down on the list of interest. 2. Water stream/pressure. This is kind of the point of the whole thing, which in the end (that's a pun) made it THE most important thing. The BB2000 gets marks across all reviews as the most powerful pressure. I find the higher pressure selection (some people call it the enema stream) as a great feature when one wants a little extra pressure/stream. One can always back it down with the multitude of adjustments/selections in this bidet. Thus, start at the top and work your way down means select the best pressure for water. This consideration/feature tipped the scales to buy the BB2000. I"m very pleased we made this choice as the other features just are of lesser interest/function comparatively. 3. Install. Took me about 20 minutes. Easy. I did swap out the hose on my initial toilet water inlet. All the necessary pieces come with the BB2000, awfully pleased at that as I made no extra purchases or stops at the hardware store. 4. White vs "biscuit" color. I have a biscuit color toilet with all other seats prior as that color. But, I had no interest in paying an extra 200 bucks for white vs tan... and chose white. Looks great! I'd choose white again for sure. The unit is large enough that it'll block all other colors and our room is not ultrabright lights to show the contrast. 5. Night light. The BB2000 has a "soft blue" glow. I can take it or leave it - not a key feature to me. Wife likes it though, so I"ll put in a checkmark in that column. Initially I wondered about the side light vs the bowl light in other products. The side is perfectly fine, and I don't need to have any other light for my late night stream aim. I kinda like the side light better actually. 6. Remote. Really? all these people complaining about the remote? I think it's great, so does the wife. I like using the remote without having to wiggle around looking for/at the buttons on the seat or on an arm. THe remote here for BB2000 is super easy and always works, at least thus far in 4 weeks. Someone complained that they had to "aim" the IR beam at the seat in one review I saw. I can't believe that as we aim it in any direction ...actually we don't aim it at all... and it works great. It's a little larger than I thought it would be - about 50% larger and longer than a deck of playing cards. I like this size. The install on the wall is an adhesive, and a must for ease of setting it down/removal for use. Love the remote. Other complaints were about the lack of a back light in the buttons. That was something I considered, but after a few uses, one figures out the location of the buttons one desires quickly...it's not that complicated. Plus, the blue night light resolves that issue. No concern. Love the remote. 7. Dryer. Really? someone on a review said it correctly when they stated one shouldn't expect a hand-dryer power like that in a public restroom...and that puts it into perspective. True, the flow of air does come from center left (when seated) with a little more on the left butt/glute than the right. But for me, it has plenty of air flow. Now, I"m 6 feet tall and 170 lbs. If I were significantly "larger" in weight or height, I think this would be more of a problem. In the end, pat to dry is what most people likely do anyway with one or two sheets (vs using multiple more for wiping instead of the bidet). Okay, criticisms: -I can't really cite any issues. Install was super easy. Features including remote are great. Looks super. Odor control is fine, but not awesome. -I will say that I wonder if alot of the negative concerns are from larger people in height and/or weight? On the whole, this is a "smaller" seat. I don't think it would do well for someone 250+ lbs or 6'4" or taller. But then, the whole bidet experience is likely challenged for those folks who carry alot of extra weight/mass is what I"m guessing. If I were larger, I would research that angle quite a bit for a larger seat in length and width. As a person new to the bidet gig, I did alot of research on the different products and tried to figure out the key differences and critically explore which features were worth paying for. Hopefully this review saves the next person some effort. I bought my BB2000 off of Amazon. A key competitor in my research was the matched in price Toto product. I did look at about 4 or 5 other company product lines, but narrowed it two these two companies. As stated above, I finally bought this one as I was convinced it offered the "industry best" pressure in water. That may or may not be true, but water pressure was key in my selection, satisfaction with the BB2000, and I've been very happy with it.

Review of Alpha JX, Biobidet BB-2000 and Brondell E600
By Anthony W. Morris on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2019
So we got our first bidet seat for xmas 2018. It was a Brondell E600. Just to set the stage...I am 6'3" and weigh about 270lbs and my wife is 5'8" and weighs about 160lbs. We really liked everything about this bidet with one exception. It has a water tank with heater and the warm water would run out within about 15-20 seconds even though most everything I read said it would last 40-60 seconds. Now, it really only takes about 10-15 seconds of washing to get the job done BUT...I like to let it go a little longer just to make sure it's all nice and clean on the ole bottom so we would run out of warm water most of the time. Due to this, we decided to move that seat to our kid's bathroom and order another one for me and the wife. Wifey said that the Brondell E600 also didn't seem like it hit the right spot on her front wash and she had to wiggle around a bit to get that done but it wasn't a deal breaker for her because she liked everything else about it. We started shopping around again and decided on the Biobidet BB-2000. Biobidet BB-2000 - This seat has a lot of features but we felt like the quality of this seat was not as good as the Brondell. We also noticed that the seat did not stay very warm. It seemed like it was just about room temp all the time, after you sat down for about 30 seconds you could feel it start warming up. It almost seemed like it was in eco mode all the time no matter whether it was set to low or high. It did seem to have an endless supply of warm water no matter how long you let the wash cycle run. I ended up contacting someone at bidetking.com and asking about the seat warming and was told that they have one in their office and it's the same way. We decided the cost was too much to just settle so we returned it and have now ordered a Brondell swash 1200. Brondell Swash 1200 - waiting on delivery so can't say at this time but feel confident we will love it. Summary: After owning a Brondell, a Biobidet and a Alpha JX we have decided that of them all we liked the Brondell brand a lot more. It just seems like the quality is better. The seat is nice and toasty at all times even on the low and medium settings. On the Biobidet and the Alpha we noticed when you get up from the toilet the seat wants to lift up with you. That did not happen on the Brondell. Seems like that is due to the heavy dutyness (don't think that's a real word) of the seat of the Brondell. The lid of the Biobidet seemed very flimsy and weak. The Alpha was better in that regard. The Alpha seemed to clean the worst of them all that we've tried. This is a significant investment (well worth it in our opinion) and you should be completely satisfied since you will be using it daily. We truly believe based on experience now that the amount of toilet paper we will save the seat will pay for itself in 2 yrs or less. Obviously, there is a fair amount of personal preference with an item like a bidet but for us, we think the Brondell brand is significantly better quality than all the others we tried. I can also say that I used to travel to Japan quite a bit and they almost solely use Toto brand there so I have tried them also and the Brondell brand seems everybit as good as a Toto and Brondell seems to have more features for less money than Toto. My wife said that both the Biobidet and the Alpha did a better job washing her front parts but I believe that's because they both have 2 separate wands (one for the rear and one for the front) which allows for better washing of a ladies parts than just having one wand for both like the Brondell E600 we had first. The new Brondell swash 1200 we have ordered has 2 wands so we are expecting it to wash her front lady parts as well as the Biobidet and Alpha. No matter which one you choose, if you have never had a bidet seat, I think you'll find it's a game changer and you'll wonder how you have gone so long and never owned one. We will never be without one again. It works so much easier and better than toilet paper and/or wipes. Is better for your sewer or septic system and the environment. The Brondell washed so well that even after the wash you can wipe with toilet paper and find the paper will be completely clean! Other than using the single piece of toilet paper to dry off with, you wouldn't need to wipe at all. That reminds me, the dryer function on them all is pretty much worthless so don't let that be a deciding factor in your evaluation of any of them. Oh, and my wife really likes the blue nightlight function on the Brondell too. Hope this helps anyone who is shopping to help you make a decision and get the most bang for your buck.
