Kanu Surf Women's Standard Keri Shirt

This is a nice top and I enjoy it. The sizing is smaller. I normally wear a medium but I did a large bc of the reviews. It fits just right but I wanted a little slack. It still works. I definitely could’ve done an XL and been fine.

This rashguard/sunshirt is great! I got mine in 2017 and it's held up nicely. I've worn it in pools, surf, and just for walking out in the Florida, skin-cancer inducing sunshine. I'm 5' 3", 130lbs, 34A, have a longer torso and short legs. I find the fit just right...any smaller in the arm pits and I think it'd be uncomfortable. I prefer a looser fit and a fabric that is thick enough to safely wear my Champion Absolute sports bra underneath when walking. This shirt meets both those criteria. The armpits and bust are slightly on the snug side (relative to the mid section). Pros: Not skin-tight fit (relaxed mid section) Beautiful color true to model picture Color hasn't faded Material is thicker Protects skin from sun Cleans easily Potential Cons: Armpits and bust are slightly on the snug side. Raised collar might irritate some. (It doesn't for me.) The material doesn't have a designed cooling effect which might make it too warm for walking or running in during the summer for some people. Relaxed fit might not be ideal for serious swimming/water sports as the shirt can billow up in the water. While the fit is more relaxed, the shirt is not particularly stretchy if you need stretch.

Tip - Scroll down for exact measurements of the S, M, and L. After reading all of the confusing reviews I ordered a small and a medium feeling confident one of the two would fit. I mostly wear a size small in t-shirts. I am a little short waisted with what is referred to as a straight body type. and I like a fitted look that shows a waist but is NOT tight in the bust.. I am 5'3, 125 to 130, and 34-36" bust. The small was very crazy tight on me in the chest and looked ridiculous. The medium fit ok but I am a little more modest and I didn't want the slight stretch look across my bust. My husband said it was fine but I was a little uncomfortable. The small was a little tight in the middle but the medium fit perfect in the middle just not the bust. Both small and the medium I could see what other reviewers were saying about the sleeves. The sleeve width and length didn't match the tightness in the chest. Strange fit. I debated but decided to hold on to the medium and order a large just to see the difference. The large is was big all over but fit perfectly in the bust. So I kept the large. Sometimes I look in the mirror and think I made the right choice and sometimes I feel it looks huge. I just couldn't stand the thought of wearing something I considered too tight in the chest. The sleeves are very long and big and the length is too long but it is not tight. I don't think there is a perfect solution with this shirt for someone with a fuller bust. When the shirt is wet is clings which makes it look like it fits better but is not too tight I the bust. I don't think the material gets bigger when wet but you do notice the longer sleeve in the water more. I want the added sun coverage for my hands so I am ok with it but it will require getting used to it. I guess I made the right choice but it would be nice if the medium had 1" more room in the bust. That would have made it perfect for me. I ordered purple and it is the color shown on my computer screen. More of a mauve in my opinion I guess and I was glad because I didn't want a purple. The material seems like good quality and it washed well and held up in the pool the one time I wore it so far. I did not dry it but I never dry rash guards. The material is comfortable but warm when dry. It seemed warmer to me then my lands end rash guard but that might be my imagination. Here is where I hope I can help someone else. Get out your favorite long sleeve t-shirt and compare the measurements to those below. So while I had a S, M, and a L I measured each one. Keep in mind that they do stretch and these measurements are of the shirts laying flat and not on a person and not stretched at all. I am not an expert with a tape measure but hopefully my measurements will help someone. Oh and the free returns are truly free and no hassle at all. L= Overall length of the shirt from the very top of the collar in the back to the bottom of the shirt hem. C= The chest measurement across the front of the shirt just under the arms from seam to seam. (Front only) W= The measurement of the waist across the front of the shirt at the smallest point. (front only not front and back) The shirt is hourglass shaped. H= The shirt actually is much longer then my hips but this is the measurement across the very bottom of the shirt. On the model in the photo it would be her hips (across front only) SL= This is the sleeve length from the top of the collar (with hem so all the way to the neck) to the bottom of the sleeve cuff. SWB = This is the measurement of the sleeve width right at the bicep. (1/2 way around only so double if you are measuring your around your own arm) SWC= This is the measurement of the sleeve at the cuff of the sleeve (again 1/2 way around) Small L 25&1/2" C 16&1/2" W 15" H 17&1/2" SL 28&1/2" SWB 5&1/2" SWC 4" Medium L 26&1/2" C 18" W 16&3/4" H 19" SL 28&3/4" SWB 6" SWC 4" Large L 27&1/2" C 19" W 18" H 20" SL 29&1/4" SWB 6" SWC 4&1/4"

it's very confusing to read reviews for this rash guard. half the people seem to say this runs big; half say it runs small. i ordered one and sent it back. here is my perspective on the sizing. in women's shirts, i consistently wear a small. so i ordered a small in this rash guard. in my estimation, this top is TRUE TO SIZE, but with a "BUT..." for me, "true-to-size" in this case means that the space between the neck and the shoulders was correct, and the length was correct. Also, the room in the armpit area was correct. If i had ordered either above or below my normal size, this shirt would definitely not work, because either the length or the armholes or the shoulders would have been wrong. the problem for me was that the sleeves were simply too baggy for moderate swimming. *for* *swimming* is the key. the description says "looser fit", which i expected, but somehow i thought the sleeves would still be "clingy" enough to not flop around while swimming. WHAT I LEARNED: you might rate this as "too big" or "too small" depending on your planned *activities* while wearing this. For surfing, stand-up paddle board, wind-surfing, sail-boating, etc: i would LOVE this shirt for those activities. For swimming: No. Do not buy. the arms are just too loose and floppy. but the sizing doesn't "run large" in my opinion. the shirt is true-to-size, but it is just designed with loose sleeves.

These shirts are AWESOME! They are actually block the sun, yay, the material is thick! And they just feel good on my body. They are very flattering and stretch well. Covers my neck and functional for hot FL.

I wanted a rash guard for a trip to Miami and Dominican Republic. My husband has a men's rash guard from Kanu that we were happy with, so I thought why not just pick the same brand. I wear S/M, so I got M. But mine must be a dud or constructed differently. Pro: blocks sun well, dries decently, package arrived on time, good stitching on the clothes Con: one arm stretched out after first wash, clothes feels uncomfortable during wear When I first tried it on, the clothes felt..twisted. I double checked that I was wearing it the right way. It appeared I did. But it just won't sit well on my shoulder, and felt tangled around the chest, even though there was nothing to straighten out. Luckily once I go into water and get it wet it stops feeling like that. But in it's dry form, it feels like I somehow wore it diagonally. It's weirdly uncomfortable in a different way from it being skin tight. Also, the left sleeve stretched out immediately after the first wash. Originally it was bit short to cover my wrist. Now it extends well beyond my wrist onto my hand. All I did to wash it was a light hand wash, with regular soap, with room temperature tap water, and line dry in shade. This is the first swimsuit I've seen that stretched this fast. I'm still wearing it to pools and ocean because the fabric still does what it promised to do -sun protection- including the stretched out left arm. It's better than not wearing it. I also can't return it because I'm at Dominican Republic. It will be past the return window when I come back from my trip. But I'm inclined to look for a replacement sometime given the twisted uncomfortable wear when it's dry and how quickly the left arm stretched out.

I bought this shirt for sun protection while lounging in the pool. The size guide said to get a large when I would normally be and XXL in most garments from Amazon. I decided to go with the XL as that’s the largest size that was available. It fits snug in the sleeves and torso, but once it was on it was comfortable. I was in the pool for at least 4 hours yesterday and I not only felt protected in the water, but cool when I stepped out. It was 95 degrees yesterday so being cooled was a very pleasant surprise. In all, I’m happy with my purchase and recommend everyone consider sun protection even when swimming at home.

very feminine, not your typical uv shirt looking workout clothes only reason for four stars is arm fabric is a little too slim
