This magnificent display of craftsmanship is a glory to behold. I've done extensive research on budget snare drums & the recommendations do not disappoint. Sturdy, effective & simple snare throw offs, BEAUTIFUL stainless steel design (you can literally brush your teeth in the reflection 🤩), not to mention the tube lugs blend modern & vintage aesthetics. Don't let the size fool you.. Although it's common for deep snares to have a phat, beefy tone akin to most 80s music, you CAN and SHOULD crank this bad boy to the heavens!! These tunings can and will resemble a firecracker! Gospel, hip hop, fusion jazz, etc. In fact, I'd argue at higher tunings, due to more space in the drum for air circulation, it may offer warmer ghost notes in contrast to ear splitting back beats (no seriously, this drum gets l o u d). I'm not a huge fan of long, sustained overtones, so I put a Moongel on it (one is enough, but to each's own), but you can buy an S Hoop or die cast hoop to dry the tones out a bit. All in all, 10/10 budget snare!!
