Great quality, Old-school Gallon Pitcher

I read tons of reviews and at first settled on the Tupperware Gallon pitcher. It arrived with a crack, and upon further inspection, I didn't like the lid, so sent it back and ordered this one instead (15 dollars less!) I love this pitcher. I am addicted to Starbucks Passion Iced Tea (unsweetened) and after buying the large sized teabags online to make it at home, the 1/2 gallon pitcher wasn't holding enough. The Gallon size is perfect and for the record, I washed it thoroughly before using and there is no plastic taste or smell. This pitcher holds the whole gallon and: --the lid stays on while pouring --it is easy to clean --its bpa-free --the clear design helps me see what's inside and that it's clean --doesn't pick up any of the red in the plastic (from the Passion tea) --isn't too large...ie. my kids are able to pour themselves a glass I'm so glad I bought it. And you sure can't beat the price, especially if you have free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime.

I hate it, I hate it, I hate it

I bought this believing I was buying the older model of this pitcher, featured in the listing images. I was happy to pay more for the older model than the newer one because the new one is awful. Once the lid is on, you can't get it off, you can't turn it, it's stuck. No one in my household is able to turn the lid so we have to have it open (causing spills). To take the lid off, you need to have the open hole facing the spout because you are going to need to pry it off. This is literally the worst pitcher I've ever owned. I advise against buying this is you actually like being able to close the lid or turn it. The old model in the photos is amazing and easy to use, the new one that you actually get requires more than hulk like strength to open.
