Great product at an unbelievable price!

I must say I was leary ordering a generic bulb but could not justify the $50 price difference of this one worked just as well. I loved that for the price it also came in the housing. That being said, I was nervous it wouldn't fit perfectly or would somehow not be as good. Boy, was I nervous for nothing. It took all of 60 seconds to install. The picture is so much better than it was with the Sony brand bulb. It looks like a brand new television. The picture is beautifully crisp and bright. I am thrilled. I'd also like to report that this company's customer service emailed a follow up inquiring on my satisfaction which I thought was lovely. I am thoroughly satisfied and will order another as a back up. What a great experience. My Sony bulb lasted 10 months. We will see how long this lasts. I highly recommend this product. A great value and a great product. I honestly think that it is providing a better picture than the name brand, $79.00 bulb I previously had.

Can not recommend (unfortunately)

The first lamp I purchased late August 2016 arrived on time, but I could hear before even opening the package that the bulb was broken, which it was. That was quickly and easily replaced. The second arrived quickly as well, installed easily, and seemed to work great at first. Within the first month the lamp had started to darken and just before going out entirely today had continued to diminish. To confirm I was not incorrect, I reinstalled the OEM lamp I still have from 2004 and it works and is considerably brighter than the lamp I ordered through Amazon that finally went out today. I do not think a 6 month life expectancy is quality work and I should also mention the bulb was glazed/foggy when it should be crystal clear. Those who want to save a few bucks, I can not suggest saving it here. It may be better to just buy the OEM lamp, which is what I should have done in the first place and plan to do now. Again, 6 months life with diminishing brightness starting within the first month is unacceptable, thus the 1 Star. I wanted to give them at least 2 for the good customer service, but the quality of the bulb just ruined it. (I would be happy to give them a 5 star rating if they would replace the lamp and this was an infrequent mishap. Customer service was fine. I only wrote this as I could find no way to contact the seller, so this was my only recourse)
