Mini Viper Kids BMX Bike 16'' Wheels

U[date 12/16: I thought since Amazon is still selling this bike, and I had to go on here to buy my son a new one, I should provide an updated review. The gist of my opinion is this: while the bike appeared to be a good quality and brand, it did not hold up. My son rode this bike for about two years, and then the hand bars broke off. Not became unscrewed--they broke clean off; the metal was cheap and it was unfixable. Since the tires were also totally bald by now, we had to scrap this bike entirely and get him a new one for Christmas. It is disappointing as I expect equipment like bikes to last multiple years and children, and my children are active but not doing tricks or anything. Not worth your money! Original review: I bought this bike for my son after picking through all of the big-box stores and some specialty sporting goods stores looking for a good bike. I feel like this is a good value as compared to the more elite brands. I appreciated that there are not licensed characters or gritty graphics on the bike like a lot of cheaper bikes. It is hard to find just a bike without all the other junk. It seems to ride well and be adequate quality. The bike took about 45 minutes to assemble. I am VERY disappointed to see that the color is a bright royal blue. It is NOT the aqua blue pictured. The only reason why I purchased this exact model is that I have several children close together, some boys and some girls. I wanted my son to be able to pass it to his sister in 2 years when he outgrows it without it looking too "boy". Had it been aqua, it would have been great. The dark blue that is actually on the bike looks very gender specific. She will probably have to ride it anyway, since I am not shipping back this heavy item!
