It really works! Berry flavor is wonderfully delicious.

I purchased this for my son who is constantly getting sick. It takes him a while to get better and was afraid to have him on medication all the time. His Dr recommended I give him this supplement to support his immune system. I was skeptical at first but I now see that it does really help. It shortens the time he spends being sick. Comes in a glass bottle. Only 5 ingredients. Alcohol free Black Elderberry juice, acerola fruit dried extract, organic sugarcane, water and lemon fruit juice . No food colorings, fillers or preservatives and especially no High corn fructose syrup. berry flavor is wonderful. I could eat it if I could. It tastes like some kind of fancy berry syrup you would put on pancakes. I thought about buying the kid version instead but decided to try this one first. My 5 yr old and 2 yr old have no trouble taking this . Sometimes they ask for seconds, of course I say no but I can relate. Instructions say to refrigerate after opening. Syrup is easily pourable even when cold. I am reordering this to have it readily available for this winter. Btw it is way cheaper to buy it on Amazon. I found it twice as much on store shelves.

Not convinced it does anything! Must refrigerate

It’s advertised as immune support. Not sure if elderberry really does anything for ones health or immune system. Doesn’t seem supported by studies. Also, no published research studies have evaluated the use of elderberry for COVID-19, which is why I think people buy all this sort of stuff in droves lately. It would be worth looking that up first if that’s why you are getting it. Taste: good. It reminds me of like a blueberry pancake syrup, or drink syrup concentrate, it’s very sweet and dark in color. I can’t see anyone disliking the taste of a sugar syrup. Kids would probably like it, as it’s tasty. It does say not for use if pregnant. Effect: who knows. I took it daily for about 10 days when feeling a bit under the weather, and I didn’t feel any better, or notice any beneficial effects at all. But no negative effects either. I realize I probably just wasted some money… …I think I have to throw it out now, because I didn’t realize it says “refrigerate after opening” on it, small print. At one point I mistakenly put it away in the medicine cabinet, and im not sure it tastes right anymore. Found info from Cleveland Clinic: “The results of the study showed no difference in the severity or duration of flu symptoms between the elderberry and placebo groups.” That’s not great. Not saying one study is the end all be all, but that study was done by a qualified Dr. and is the largest study to date on elderberry and Influenza B. Showing it didn’t shorten duration of symptoms at all. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says, “There’s not enough information to show whether elderberry is helpful for any other health purposes.” I would have to read more before recommending this product. It’s made in Italy which is neat. Glass bottle is good. Mine arrived with no issue.
