The knife comes really sharp, but the material tends to cause whatever you're cutting to stick quite because of the texture and thinness of the blade. I also wasn't a big fan of the rubber grip and would have preferred a riveted one. I put it through a dishwasher a few times and rust spots started appearing immediately, and there was a noticeable degradation of the texture on the rubber of the handle. I know it's not meant for cutting bone, but I tried it on a fishbone, which isn't really that tough, and that caused the blade to chip and ruin it. I didn't feel too bad about it because I wasn't very satisfied with the purchase. I know I was abusing it, but I was hoping for a knife that was lower maintenance. I will be buying a knife with German steel next as it's supposed to be tougher and more impact resistant than the harder and more brittle Japanese steel.
