Worth the money!

I just got this today and it was the refurbished model. I hooked it up and played around a little until I got the sound to my liking, and it is very nice. I tried Yamaha YAS-201 before this, and me being an electronics and audio buff, I was not pleased with amount of sound options or the sound it put out. The subwoofer sounded great but the highs were absent from the device. As for this Samsung, it has everything I need for the price. Keep in mind, it is nothing like a home theater system, but it is the next best thing below one. For the price, it is a great system, and even better when you have a newer Samsung TV. The looks: Very elegant, with the subwoofer in a gloss piano black and fabric on one side, and the sound bar mesh grill with nickel looking accents on each end. The sound: The sound is very full for a soundbar in this price range. It also can get very loud with little to no distortion. Bass is good for an apartment and I keep mine at 0 to -2 and it is plenty for my small room. Setup: Setup is extremely easy when you follow the directions. Setup for me was less than 10 minutes from box to listening. Tweaking the sound was another 5 minutes. This may take longer for someone who does not follow directions or is not familiar with electronics. Overall: I like this unit a lot. With Bluetooth compatibility (yes it has Bluetooth) and all the options, easy to use remote, sound, and everything that came with it (HDMI cable, Fiber optic cable, wall bracket, 90° USB elbow, USB 4" extension, batteries for remote, and an AV cable, this unit has impressed me. I know there is better out there, but I am giving this 5 stars for this unit itself, not comparing it to all others on the market.

It's ok, nothing stands out about this unit

Honestly it's ok im the sense that it will make your tv more audible, however, for a unit with a sub, you rarely ever hear any good bass even with the bass kicked all the way up. If you're looking for more of a home theater sound, you'll need to buy a higher end model. I've had this for years now and have tried with serval Samsung tv's, using varuois modes and hook ups, like I said it does offer amplified sound from your tv but that's about it.. and honestly thats fine for some people so if that's what you're looking for id say go for it.
