I can no longer blame my mouse.

I took a gamble on this mouse when I bought it. I've never used Roccat products before, nor had any of my friends. I 'tried' the mouse at a Fry's electronics, and by 'try' I mean I attempted to put my hand on it through its plastic packaging, in its box. My current mouse was dying (Logitech, known for the connection between cord and mouse becoming loose) and I was desperate to not be a n00b when my mouse randomly disconnected mid team-fight. So I went to the Twitterverse, said Hashtag Yolo, and ordered a Kone Pure Military Edition Gaming Mouse (military edition was a bit cheaper at the time). A few days later, my new mouse shows up, I plug it in, fall in love with it, and am no longer a n00b who blames my mouse for misclicks. The braided cord moves nicely, the scroll wheel has a nice tactile response, and all four of the buttons click well. The glowing logo on the mouse is a nice aesthetic touch, but I really didn't care about how is looked. I just wanted a basic mouse that fit my hand well. And fit my hand well, it does. I have a fairly large hand, with fairly skinny fingers (was a piano player growing up, go figure). I use a mostly palm grip, so I needed a fairly large/long mouse. This seemed to be a great fit when I ordered it, and I was right. My one problem with it is that they put a tag/label around the cord, right where it goes into the mouse. When you remove this tag, it leaves a little glue residue on the cord. After nine months of rubbing that glue to try to get it off, dust still sticks to it and makes the cord look super dirty- in just that one spot. I can rub the dust off, but it will always come back. With all being said, this is a great mouse. Would recommend for PC gamers who have decently large hands, use a palm grip, and don't need no stinkin' macro buttons. Would also recommend for non-PC gamers who want a responsive, quick mouse, at an affordable price.

I figured this was a good match from what I read on forums

I wanted an ergonomic mouse that I can take along with my laptop that had side buttons. I am a big MX518 mouse fan. I figured this was a good match from what I read on forums. The mouse is a bit smaller compared to my mx518 that I already have on my main desktop. The mouse feels solid. I downloaded roccat software for this mouse. I was not able to change any settings on the mouse. I could not 1. disable the lights 2 change the lights to be always on 3. couldnt change color 4. couldnt change the side buttons functions or any buttons at all I emailed roccat support all they suggested after I waited 2 days was. "I needed to add roccat to the approved list of software on my Antivirus" I disable my AV and nothing. I added the exclusion to my software and rebooted and still nothing. So I sent that mouse packing back to amazon.
