What's up with the lid?

I bought the Evernew Ti pasta pot and just got it but I think I have an issue regarding the lid... is it supposed to snap on and fit really tight? I have to hold the pot and pry the lid off by the edge which of course is not possible if its hot. I would not be able to take it off by the top handle alone. I guess it's nice that the lid won't fall off but like I said this is only useful for storage. Do all of them fit so tight? Otherwise the product looks very well made.
