For this price, can't beat it!

It's a challenge to find anything you'd remotely call "furniture" that isn't being used for a dorm room in the "under $100" price range. I looked at IKEA, Home Depot, Target, etc. Yes, this is made of particle board, but it's designed well, fit is good, and it should last for quite a while with low to medium usage. And it's not obvious it's particle board unless you manipulate it - otherwise it looks fine (good even). It would be nice if the drawers had better slides and/or came out farther, but for this price? Let's get realistic! And, it should be noted, it could have been made of WORSE materials and/or not been as well manufactured (parts lined up, etc.). The engineering/design that went into it was quite competent as I've assembled different items that were a struggle to put together. This one went right together with no issues. It came relatively well packed and the instructions were clear. Setup time was probably under an hour, but that's because the drawers do take some time. The final result was a very usable night stand.I would not give this 5 stars if "money were no object", but for the application I had in mind, spending $500 or $600 was pretty silly. For this amount of money, it's a challenge to see why people would find it anything less than a good choice.

Skip this nightstand.PROSEasy to assembleMDF boards are thick and the coating seems reasonably waterproofMany pieces come pre-assembled (such as the drawer runners)CONSfor the price this has got to be the worst value I've ever gotten for more than $40 let alone almost $80A few of the screw holes holding the drawer runners in place had split the board slightly and had been improperly drilled to the point that I had to use construction adhesive to bond the runners. There is no support in the back of the nightstand, aside from a thin piece of stiff cardboard to cover the backs of the drawers, leaving the unit very wobbly.I can't stress this enough, you can find a better nightstand for cheaper at just about any major retailer or furniture store. Maybe the two I purchased were defective but if that were the case I would still avoid a company that could let 2 defective units slip through quality control.I should have returned these as soon as I noticed the cracks (small as they were) and the poorly drilled holes. Since I've already used construction adhesive I'm just going to have to live with this purchase for the next 3-6 months until the wobble finally causes them to collapse.OR I'm going to have to invest another $20+ dollars into these already overpriced pieces to shore them up to a useable standard. If you've made it this far, please, I'm begging you, save yourself the frustration of this and buy from someplace you can see the finished product or someplace with a reputation you trust
