Nice, fast external SSD. Love the built-in USB cable. Seems well-built.

This is the cheapest in this category. But having a poor performance in terms of transfer speed. Also it is ejecting on its own in between transfering data.

Wow...after shelling out $$ for 2 of these for a project I was working on I noticed one was much slower than the other one. I had my frie d who is an engineer pop them open to find the problem. Believe it or not they both had different parts inside! Whoever manufacturers these seemed to cut corners on one of them by using different components. Very dissatisfied that a company would do this on such an expensive item. Buyer be ware

I like having an external SSD. Unlike mechanical drives, I can connect this to my Samsung phone and tablet using an OTG cable. Both my phone and tablet will power this SSD. Now I have plenty of room to store MP4 files that I can watch on my devices. Solidly built. Expensive, but worth it. I'm not sure if I like the included cable or not, but it's convenient. One thing though, the blue LED is bright when using this drive in a dark room, so i usually turn it over to block the light.

This little guy rocks like a monster. It's faster than you'd expect and it's cord length is perfection. Monster digital, you are truly the best and this is amazing device that I rely on and use daily. I enjoyed the bonus case it came with but switched to a hard case and am move thrilled than ever. One thing you know about Monster Digital and their products is that they know what they are building.

I was disappointed that Windows mounts this drive as removable storage rather than an external hard drive. Because of this, you cannot use this drive for backups. Carbonite.com also does not work with removable storage drives. There is no way to change this setting as it is done at the hardware level.

Open box product and no full refund ($162 re-stocking fee). Not for windows but not clarified.

I would give it 5 stars but the SSD Controller is set at about 1/2 the speed of other compact SSD in this class and remember that while the USB connection cord being built in is incredibly convenient especially for my 2015 13" Mackbook Pro i7 3.1ghz if you have a failure of the USB cord then you have a serious problem. There is no way I can see if getting to the data if the cord fails or you damage it so be careful. The SSD is lightweight and beautiful but shows oily fingerprints really bad on the brushed aluminum. I don't consider that a deal breaker though.

But, then I'm not sure she knows where to plug in the USB. Great product, I wish it was cheaper and in a bigger capacity. Easy to store and move files. I have a MAC, and it worked perfectly with my computer.

Easily re-formatted to HFS+ for Mac. Use it with CCC for a bootable clone. Very fast even when booting up. The cloth carrying bag is a nice addition.
