Heavy duty and nice
By MikeB on Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2018
Heavy duty! First the reason I bought these rain pants is because of the zippered legs go from ankle to hip. I like to bass fish and I have 3 other rainsuits with bibs but the zippers only go from ankle to knee. Putting the bibs on with hiking shoes is really a pain especially in a bass boat not much room. And the price of a nice rainsuit with bibs that have ankle to hip zippers are really expensive! So I found these pants, and you can't go wrong with Carhartt, ordered them and glad I did. I'm 5'6" tall and around 185, stocky build, waist size on jeans 36-38/30" inseam . Ordered size large and they fit good over a pair of bluejeans. Not too long and tight enough around the waist. The pants are somewhat thick which I think would be warm. Built very good, nice quality. No fly for the guys. 1 zippered back pocket.

Sizes run big!!
By Meaux on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2015
I ordered a large. I am 5,6" 185# with a mid size beer gut. I usually wear a large in waist and have to make adjustments to the leg length since almost no clothing companies have love for short guys. These pants run really big everywhere. I was able to wear a pair of blue jeans under them and still could not tighten the waist straps tight enough to keep them up. I had to roll the pants leg up 3 or 4 times to keep from walking on them. With that said.....Carhartt's shoreline products are very nice! They are durable and made very well. I own the insulated and non-insulated jackets as well as the shoreline bibs. I love all my shoreline gear because they keep the rain and wind off of me. It's actually everything you could want in a heavy duty rain suit, it just runs really big in size. The only other con besides large sizing is that after a few washes they will need to be sprayed with a rain repellant again. I am very hard on my rain gear though and it gets full of mud and sand Everytime I put it on. So for the average wearer it probably won't need to be sprayed with water repellant as often. Maybe once a year.
