So far, not impressed, but that might change

I have not had the chance to zero this optic yet, but I have mounted it on my AR-10 and here are my thoughts. I will update this as soon as I have the chance to shoot it. Pros: -The scope itself feels sturdy and has good construction -I like the screw mechanism for the adjustment turrets, it feels good and is better than the locking mechanism I have seen on some more expensive optics. -The price is really good (if it holds up - like I said I will update later) -you can run it without the battery just fine. Cons: -The illumination sucks, it makes the whole thing blurry and is fairly useless in both green and red modes at night and with high glare -Two screw holes that mount the scope to the included mount where stripped from the factory. I could not tighten them down, they just spin free. This shouldn't be a problem, as it still feels attached to the mount firmly (the mount to picatinny attachment is dubious, more on that next) but it does make the whole thing feel a little chintzy -This is the biggest issue so far. I have very little confidence in the picatinny rail attachment. It doesn't feel tight, but I am also concerned about torquing it down too much and stripping it out completely, which seems to already have happened to the screws up on top. I hope it stays put, but at this point I am fairly certain as soon as I start shooting with it like this its going to wiggle itself loose. -The front dust cover would not stay on, and the rear one was on so tight (not to mention off-kilter) I almost couldn't remove it without damaging the scope or bringing out the exacto knives. And trust me, you will want to remove these. The way they clip on is so cheap that after a few times of popping the lid up, the lid would no longer stay down and it was basically useless. I will update the stars to either 4 stars if it is easy to set zero and if it holds it after a few hundred rounds. Because at that point if it is functional it is still worth the price. If it rattles itself off like I think it might, I will be returning it and updating this review accordingly.
