AM/FM Marine In-Dash Detachable Face Radio

It's hard to find a good silver-faced head unit these days. I was hoping that this would be a good basic solution to replace the OEM unit in my car, and the features this has are admittedly a noticeable upgrade. Particularly the Bluetooth connectivity, which has worked perfectly since I installed it. The controls are not the most intuitive, honestly, and the glaring blue color of screen isn't dimmable and has proven too distracting to have on during night driving. The worst aspect of this unit is the static noise present when on. No matter what I've done, there's this awful static interference whenever the device is on and powering the speakers. I've taken the car to a shop and they say it's a faulty head unit probably a bad ground somewhere in the chassis. If this were not the case, I'd have few complaints with the unit, but as it stands, I consider this non-functioning.
