Great for the grill

Have used these for a few years now. Great for grilling. Love cooking and serving the items on the wood carrier. Keeps food warm. Have been easy to clean and stay in good shape if you treat them right

It came broken
By Uyen on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2025
The handle broke and it wasn’t even in the box it was shipped with, which is strange. It doesn’t even let me order a replacement. I have to return it and then order a new one.

I was skeptical on buying these. But for $20 for the whole set, I figured I’d give them a chance. So glad I did! They are well made—every part. The cast iron pan is sturdy, the wooden tray is finished and the pan sits in it nicely and lastly, the heat sleeve also displays quality materials and workmanship. When they arrived, I washed the pan in hot soapy water and then towel dried. Coated with some olive oil and popped them in the oven at 400 degrees. Left them in the oven for about 20 mins. Took them out and placed the pork chops on them (I had cooked them in a frying pan in the oven) A nice sizzling sound could be heard!! They kept the chops hot for at least 25 mins. The only downside is they are on the small side. You could use the these for fajitas, strip steaks, ribeyes—however, no way will a T-bone fit. They were easy to clean. Just soapy water and rinse. then I recoated them with olive oil after towel drying and put them back in the oven for a bit. They feel as though they are preseasoned already, but I always take care of ALL my cast iron this way. Keeps it forever young!!
Great cast iron starter piece!

Easy to clean with kosher salt and water. Grills bacon well if you cut them into half slices, and small steaks. Really small skillet, Not as big as it looks online. This is my introduction to cast iron cooking so it turned out to be perfect size. Not too thick, very sturdy, heat distributes easily. After scrubbing this I don't think I'm quite yet ready for a dutch oven combo set.
Best When Cooking For One

I purchased this skillet solely for cooking fish. My wife doesn't eat fish so this was the perfect cast iron piece. Having the wood plank that is routed out to cradle the skillet versus a slick piece of wood is a nice touch. It's big enough to cook a meal and have enough for a leftover meal for work the next day. I really love this skillet.

Heavy duty cast iron. Long enough to accommodate a long strip steak with ease, or to do 2 chicken breasts at once. But it can do much more. Veggies, etc. I bought it originally to be able to do a steak with in my new pizza oven. But, after receiving it yesterday and seeing how well made it is and it's size, all kinds of ideas on how to use this thing flooded my mind. So impressed with it I ordered another one last night to put in my camping tote to use over a campfire! PS- Anyone who makes a comment like the one below, "gets rusty easily" shouldn't own ANY cast iron as they obviously do not know how to care for it!
Single serving size. Huge logo is 2 much.

I like the setup, but dislike the huge logo on the wood and mittens....I woukd prefer logo more discreet in size and placement,, and I think I will sand and stain the wood trivets dark to hide this logo (one star off). One skillet didn't have the best preseasoning and a bit of rust started showing after first use but can be reseasoned rather easily with oil. The rest of skillets are well preseasoned and nonstick and easy to clean. This is definitely individual serving so you'd need one per person, which is what I wanted for us. Because of covid, we make "restaurant experience" at home.

Grill skillet could have been more wide

It worked for our family because we are less eaters. Wish it could have been more wide so there is more room for other kind of sides. Overall its good, loved the mittens. Easy to clean.
Disapointing

My rating is more for the way this is presented and not the item itself. This was returned. It was tough to tell by the photos and description but this is very small. The description says you can cook in it, but the beveled sides aren't very high and would be difficult to keep food in while sauteing. Overall this isn't bad, but it is more for display as a single serving dish. Yes, I should have looked at the measurements, but it really didn't seem there was a need to. Otherwise it seemed fine for what it appears intended as. For those who said it rusted, you need to look up how to care for cast iron. You cannot wash them they way you wash other cookware. That said, there were no instructions with this that provided those cautions, but every cast iron pan we've seen and own came with care instructions so as to prevent rust.
