Dryerbox Model New Construction Walls

I would have rated this product higher if it would have had an option of left or right hand mounting. My vent pipe came down on the right side of the box next to a 2x6 in the wall. There was no moving the vent pipe so I had to cut another hole in the top of the box on the right side. Then I had to glue the piece I cut out back into the empty hole on the left using J-B weld. It worked out OK, but it was way more work than I anticipated. Also you really need to cut the vent tube short to get the box in the wall. Using a dremel to cut off the vent like they recommend is worthless, I used a 4" cuttoff wheel on a grinder and then used sheet metal shears to finish it off. I would not recommend this product if your vent pipe is attached to a stud on it's right hand side. Also to cut the molding on the wall neatly you will need an oscillating saw to do the job right. I also found it works better to remove the small piece of drywall along the bottom edge and replace it with a 1/2" piece of wood so the mounting screws have something solid to go into and it won't crumble when pressure is applied when tightening the screws.
