Fills a need but ultimately flawed design
By JennKC on Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2016
We got this chair because we spend our summers camping and, this year, we have a 10 month old. We were looking for a camp chair that was safe, super portable, able to be cleaned, and able to use it as a high chair. This chair achieved 3 out of 4 of those goals. It is safe, super sturdy and, it seems, we will be able to use it for the next couple of summers. It folds up and can get put into a bag like our other camping chairs which makes it useful in other applications than camping (picnics, family functions, poolside, etc.) It weighs almost nothing. The "tray" is covered in plastic and can be wiped down. Here's where it gets weird. When you put your kid into the chair, the "tray" part slants toward her body because of the weight of the child. This causes frustration because EVERYTHING ends up in her lap. Every cheerio. Every cup. Every spoon. Every toy. I realize that there's no way to engineer it so that it doesn't do this but maybe an extra piece as a stiffener? It's a true design flaw. I think everyone else who owns this chair feels the same way and I should have kept looking when I saw what the design flaw was. Would I buy this again? Not at this price point. I would if it were in the range of a "normal" camping chair ($15-20).
