Nice Remote, Good Price

I was extremely frustrated when I could not get a universal remote locally that would work. I found the specific remote for my opener at one store, but they were asking $65 for it. I got it here on Amazon for 1/3 the price, and I received it two days after ordering. The remote was easy to install and works great. The range is much further than I expected, and while a little thing, I like the lights when you press it. So, the bottom line is 1/3 the price for something that was delivered quickly and on time. Thats a win in my book.

While the remote works fine, and I got it at a great price, the only problem I have with it is the design. The top edges of the three LED buttons are not protected, and in my case on two remotes, the buttons broke. For the average user, having the buttons exposed and readily available for clicking, is a convenience. And, many folks simply leave the remote attached to their car visors, so they don't get damaged that often. In my case, I don't leave the remote in my car...it's placed on my seat or in my dashboard console, then placed in my purse among all my other junk. That's where it tends to get damaged, although I have dropped it a few times. After buying two of these remotes, and having the buttons break, I decided to try the Liftmaster 893Max Three-Button Visor Remote. So far, it has held up to my abuse, and I have to believe having all edges of the buttons covered does make a difference.
