Does Not fit Even after trying to stretch seat cover while it was wet.

I was really excited about this item. I have an event I need the directors chair for today. I paid for expedited shipping to get it today. The material is attractive, much thinner than my original seat cover. I followed the directions on the packaging which says to put it on the chair wet and then stretch. I tried this for 4 hours. The comments from the seller say put it on wet and sit on it to stretch. That was not a wise suggestion because the round dowels do not successfully secure the seat cover. I fell thru the chair. Today I have a bruise on my thigh. It is about an inch and a 1/2 too short.The round dowels will not stay securely in in side of chair when the flat dowel indentation is. If this item was not ready to use immediately, the seller should have indicated this in the product information. I would not have purchased it and spent extra money on shipping. Photos show how I could not open the chair with the seat cover on (While it was Wet) even after trying to stretch it for hours. I have NEVER left a negative review like this for any Amazon product before. That is how disappointed I am. I wish I would have read the reviews of this product before buying it, many others had the same complaint.

Top and bottoms were both about a inch shorter than the old ones due to the old ones stretching out. Tight fit but they worked.

I've had my director's chair for 30+ years and the canvas recently tore. I didn't think I'd be able to find a replacement, but this fit perfectly. I ordered the dark blue and it was a little darker than I expected (almost looks black), but otherwise, no complaints.

I need at least a 20" on the seat cover. This seat cover is just under 18". Quality is good, but what good is it if it doesn't even come close to fitting???

You get what you pay for. The rods on this seat replacement are so flimsy that when I was guiding them into the grooves on my chair they broke in half. I'm not terrible strong and the resistance was not great either - they're just that weak. Hopefully they won't break and dump by guests on their butts. I was redecorating my guest bedroom. The color was true to the photos.
