Happy with the dinnerware in every way, except...

The bowls do not fit in my dishwasher very well. They take up a lot of space. But they're sturdy, pretty, and set a nice table.

I received this set of dishes last Christmas and I loved them. Sturdy, subtle, but pretty pattern. The dishes I recently ordered didn't look like my other set of dishes. There was more glaze on them and the pattern was raised more. The dinner plates are much deeper than the original set. Also, the salad plates are not fluted like the original plates . They look like they were randomly pressed. Not fluted- just uneven looking sides. There size is even a bit smaller. After placing each piece, side by side, the quality of the new dishes are a huge disappointment! Not only that, when I received my dishes, two mugs were completely broken. I am returning these but I will continue to try to find the same quality dishes that I received last year.
