Great Problem Solver

I bought a new umbrella and it was too small for the hole in the table even after I added a cheap ring I'd gotten locally to attempt resolution. There was still a gap and it just looked bad. This umbrella wedge is a great solution both to looks and function of my table/umbrella. First, it fit perfectly to fill the hole, but it also added a lot of extra security to the umbrella and stand....It is now definitely "locked" in and should enable better stability in high wind situations. The only recommendation for installation is to add a drop of oil to help push the umbrella through it. I started it out dry and it was snug. A drop of oil made it easy to install!

Umbrella still spins!

The entire wedge spins around. So, while the umbrella itself may not be spinning, the wedge spins; so I sitll have the same problem in that my rectangular umbrella is frequently facing the wrong way over my table. Waste of money. If it wasn't so difficult for me to lift the umbrella out in order to remove the wedge, I would return it.
