Great for Metacarple fracture
By Kindle Customer on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2013
I fractured the Metacarple bone for my left hand, ring finger, the 4th Metacarple.I did go to a Dr. and they confirmed with x-rays. They put in in an ulnar guttersplint. They, of course, wanted me to go to an orthopedic specialist. Given I haveno insurance, I did some research and found this brace. Have used two days nowand it seems to give just as much support, and keeps the hand/wrist in the properposition just as well as the splint, (with a few tweaks to the alum braces to fitmy hand) and is easy to remove and re-apply. This may not be for everyone, but ifyou did get a cast, this would be very good as extra support and better fingermovement when removed. If you are good at "self medication" this is a greatproduct.

Missing crucial info: need opposite hand for radial gutter splint!
By Lydia Johnson on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2025
***RADIAL GUTTER SPLINT BE AWARE***Needed this splint in the radial gutter application for a metacarpal II fracture, but nowhere in the description does it say you must order the OPPOSITE HAND to fit for a radial gutter splint. (Left hand needs right splint, and vice versa.)So I ordered, paid for next day shipping, and now am stuck working three more days with an unsupported fractured left hand while I wait for my right hand splint to arrive. 🤦🏼♀️This information really should be in the description--would have saved me a lot of money, pain, and hassle.Otherwise appears to be a quality product; can't wait to actually be able to use it.
