DeWALT 20V MAX Drill Drivers (Your Choice)

Recently bought the Dewalt DCD780C2 drill for home use. I was originally going to purchase the cheaper version with the NiCd battery, but I was happy with the decision to upgrade to the lithium ion version. I am not a contractor (in fact, I'm a healthcare worker, so take this review from that type of perspective) and this drill has only be used for home use thus far. Here are some highlights. Drill function - extremely powerful, similar power to my corded drill. Recently put together a deck at my in-laws camper, I was able to drill through pressure treated fence posts without much difficulty at all. Driver function - works wonderfully! I've never owned a cordless drill, so having the ratchet function is amazing. The drill has 15 ratchet settings that are easily adjusted. I used to spend hours swearing at stripped screws, but not anymore. Battery life - my first use of the drill was boring through pressure treated fence posts, so the I burned through the charge on the first battery after about 7 or 8 posts, but I wasn't surprised by that. The nice thing about the kit is it comes with a spare battery which was extremely convenient. Charge time for the battery was less than an hour, so if you have 2 batteries available and access to your charging station, there really isn't much of an interruption to work flow.
