Love it!!

As usual, a fantastic purchase! I have been using a Yonanas maker off and on since they were first released, around 15 years ago. I have loved the desserts you can create with them since the beginning, and only stopped using them when I got to be too busy. Now that I have to cut down on my sugar intake, and because Im a huge frozen dessert fan, the Yonanas has made another appearance in my home. If you like sorbets/frozen fruits and want to watch your sugar, you can't go wrong!! A few things to remember - 1. Let solid fruits thaw for around 10 minutes before blending. You will burn up the motor if you don't! That's why I had to buy this latest one - I forgot on my old one and tried to blend solid bananas. 2. This is not a healthy ice cream maker - it tastes like bananas. If you don't like the taste of bananas, then this may not be for you. You can use other fruits, but it just blends the fruit into an icy mixture, it does not "transform" it into ice cream. 3. Make sure to open up the blender when done to scoop out the remaining yonanas, there will be a couple of spoonfuls that is left over that you can't get to with the blender going.

Beware the cheap glue

This product does what it claims to do. It makes fruit into slightly the consistency of ice cream. You have to eat it quickly or that consistency goes away but it does what it claims to do. Also, It’s very loud so don’t plan on treating yourself after you successfully get the baby to sleep, unless you wanna do it all over again. It’s easy enough to put together and take apart but if you plan to follow the instructions and clean it in the dishwasher do it at your own risk. I didn’t realize the little logo sticker had fallen off in my dishwasher, I just saw that it wasn’t draining water. I went through all of the normal trouble shooting such as checking the drain for debris, following the line back to the sink, etc. I pulled it out from the wall to see if there was something up with the pump. Come to find out my dram hose tapers down from the drain so that where the hose is connected it’s the perfect size for that little rubber sticker to fit and tapers down so that it’s just the perfect size for it NOT to fit through the rest of the hose. On the plus side, I didn’t have to buy a new dishwasher. Then again if I had never bought this thing I would have never thought that I needed to.
