Started peeling after less than one year

Unfortunately this one does not hold up very well. With minimal use, after less than a year, it started cracking and peeling on the top part (see photos). It's really sad because otherwise it's a nice utensil. But this is the 2nd one I've replaced in less than 2 years so I've now switched to silicone utensils
