Dangerous machine: I've had several of these and they all died the exact same way
By @tinker-tinker on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2024
The actual button on the inside of the machine melts causing the machine to get stuck on until it gets so hot inside that the switch actually falls apart. When it is about to go bad it will start turning on randomly without pushing the button. This is very dangerous especially when emptying the device as tobacco always gets stuck between the blade and the housing. Never use your finger to turn the blade to get this out as you don't know when the machine might just randomly turn on by itself. These tend to last about 4 months before they fail in this way. Since I have so many dead ones I'm just going to rewire a few of them with a high quality external momentary switch. I'll add some pictures and video of the failures to this review when I disassemble the one that just failed that I purchased about four months ago. Oh and these failures aren't from heavy use. I use the machine to grind 1.5lb of tobacco once every 2 weeks. So it seems these will last long enough to grind about 12lb of tobacco before they fail.
