Dangerous machine: I've had several of these and they all died the exact same way
By @tinker-tinker on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2024
The actual button on the inside of the machine melts causing the machine to get stuck on until it gets so hot inside that the switch actually falls apart. When it is about to go bad it will start turning on randomly without pushing the button. This is very dangerous especially when emptying the device as tobacco always gets stuck between the blade and the housing. Never use your finger to turn the blade to get this out as you don't know when the machine might just randomly turn on by itself. These tend to last about 4 months before they fail in this way. Since I have so many dead ones I'm just going to rewire a few of them with a high quality external momentary switch. I'll add some pictures and video of the failures to this review when I disassemble the one that just failed that I purchased about four months ago. Oh and these failures aren't from heavy use. I use the machine to grind 1.5lb of tobacco once every 2 weeks. So it seems these will last long enough to grind about 12lb of tobacco before they fail.

Two quick whirls and my product is nicely sized down. Because I have arthritis and carpal tunnel, it was getting difficult for me to use a grinder. This is a great alternative. Because it's small, it stores nicely in a corner of a cupboard. I suggest keeping an old painting brush or something like it handy to help brush out the contents. I would recommend.
Great herb grinder saves time and custom grinds

Absolutely great grinder. I replaced a manual grinder and was promptly amazed.Typically it would take 1 hour to grind about 2 ounces of dried herbs. With this new electric, the process took less than 5 minutes. I was also able to grind just a bit more finely by adding a few short cycles of grinding time by pushing the switch button.Easy to clean, easy to operate, a fantastic value for grinding herbs. So happy I purchased this.
EZ Does It

I ordered this grinder after reading several reviews. Apparently this "tobacco" shredder doesn't work well with tobacco, but weed... indeed. After review of several items I went with this one. Got it the next day, cleaned it out and threw in about an 1/8th of premium top shelf goodness. I pressed the activation button very quickly just once (based on previous reviews), Wow. A second time, Oooohh, and a third time, Perfect! This works great but you have to be very care to only "pulse" the power and check the grind after every pulse. Mine literally took 3 very quick pulses. This green machine will pulverize your product if you are not careful, but it is well worth the price.

I have had this product for 1 year. Works great! Maybe too good🤔For my medicinal herbs🪴, about 1-3 quick taps to grind does the trick. If you hold down the power button for too long OR tap it 1 too many times, it will SUPER GRIND the herbs to a fine powder. No bueno for vaping. Quick learning curve for me 😎💨KIEF! And lots of it. Do yourself a favor and buy a small hobby painter brush with small bristles. After grinding flower/herb, just brush out the Kief powder.I use the shredder about 2-4x per month. I grind about 3.5 grams (1/8 oz) per use.I think eventually the shredder will get clogged from all the fine powder collecting on internal components/moving parts. It doesn’t look easy to take apart for maintenance. I will cross that bridge upon arrival. The power/shredder’s button is a plastic peg which inserts into a “button” flushed with the main body through the shredder; so it’s easy for the top/cover with the plastic peg to NOT align properly sometimes.BE CAREFUL not to force the plastic cover because it looks like it can break if you’re not careful handling shredder’s top/cover.

Extremely effective grinder

I've used with a variety of herbs now. Is incredibly effective. So much so, that I only turn it on for about 3-5 seconds with each round of herbs otherwise it will turn it into powder. Unfortunately the button has been sticking a bit, making it hard to turn on and off. However its a small price to pay for such a powerful and effective yet little machine. Definitely recommend it.
Great for cutting pipe tobacco for RYO Cigarettes

Does a good job cutting pipe tobacco into small enough pieces to work for RYO cigarettes. Two short pulses and that's all you need. The lid mechanism is a little difficult to start the cutting blades but with a little effort, it eventually works.
I really wanted to give this 5 stars...

I use this to ground dry herbs into powder such as tulsi, nettle, calendula etc etc. The two draw backs is sometimes the stems don't grind into a powder. The thin stems cut up but dont powder. If I grind it until they do I would get consistency too powdery like fly away powdery. The second is the lid does not fit quite tight enough. Some of the herb powder flies out the sides. It's not a ton but definitely noticed. It gets the job done and is probably great if you are just doing tobacco. But if you are doing tobacco I would not grind it for very long at all because it will work too well. It gets a little hot after turning 3 fills into powder. The cord could be a bit longer. It's a pretty great product for the price. I sure hope it holds up. If it lasts an acceptable amount of time and I get a decent use of it I will buy again.

Grinds the tobacco way too quickly. You have to push and release the power button very fast or you end up with powdered tobacco.
