Brilliant solution! - and YES you can use a longer hose

Instantly solved my filthy pool surface woes!!Our pool was designed terribly, with both jets and the only skimmer in the shallow end, so that the surface of the whole deep end is basically a "dead zone." Before I bought this, the surface of the deep end would be covered in debris all the time (unless we skimmed by hand).Installing this was SUPER easy. I replaced the short hose that comes with it, with a long 30-foot hose (1-1/4" pool vacuum hose from Academy Sports) which allows me to use this device in the deep end, attached to the jet in the shallow end. (I also tie it with a string to a nearby landscaping stake, to keep it where I want it.) Within a couple of hours the whole pool surface was sparkling clean.I had been considering getting a pool skimmer vacuum for several hundred dollars. SO glad I tried this instead.

Very disappointed to have received an incomplete unit... no hose included in the beat up box. Ordered this to replace one that had cracked in the float section over the winter, but other components were failing with age, including the old hose that kept splitting and cracking. So, where is the hose on my replacement unit? I realize this very effective product has been discontinued and sales are limited to stock on hand, but this should have been marketed as "open box" and identified that it was not complete, and at a reduced price, NOT NEW!
