Worth every penny - the product AND the customer service!

Love it. Worth it. Recommend it - highly. Pros/cons below, as well as additional information about our experience. (FYI, this blender is also the top-rated blender under $100 on consumer search.)Pros:- Easy to assembly/disassemble (before/after cleaning)- EASY cleaning- Very powerful- Sturdy- DurableCons:- Ours doesn't have suction cups on the bottom (ours is the NJ600), although other models doMy husband and I use this blender *at least* once EVERY SINGLE DAY, often several times a day. We mainly use it for smoothies, but also use it regularly for other food items (sauces, purees, etc.). We have had it for almost 9 months now, and it's still as awesome as the first day. It crushes ice like it's nothing, which is key when you're making smoothies. Clean up is so easy, it's ridiculous. After using it, we rinse it out; then fill it about 1/3 with soapy water and run it for about 30 seconds to a minute; then quickly run a scrub brush over all of the parts. Done. There are no teeny nooks or crannies that you have to try and clean (while trying to not cut yourself with the blades in the process). Clean up of the base is even easier - just a simple swipe of a paper towel; no raised buttons to get in the way. The fact that the blades are (easily) removable makes it better than 99% of the other blenders out there. We also love that there's a pour spout at the top - you can either pour stuff out of it (obviously), or add things to the blender while it's on. There are 3 speeds, and a pulse option (the pulse option is basically high-speed). You can stop the blending option by either pressing the number button again, or just pressing power. The only complaint we have is that it sometimes travels while it's on. Some models have suction cups on the feet to help with this; ours doesn't. But other than that, this is pretty much the perfect blender. I would highly recommend it, especially for the price.Bonus! *EXCELLENT* customer service. The rubber seal around the lid started coming off (it looked/felt like it was melting), and was leaving rubber residue on the inside of the pitcher and on our drying mat (even though we hand-wash it 99% of the time). I called customer service, and they offered to send me a new lid and pitcher at no cost, to arrive in only 3-5 business days. The customer service representative was very polite, professional, and attentive. The call lasted all of 5 minutes. I used to train customer service representatives (in a call center, even), and was highly impressed. Great company. I would definitely purchase other items from them in the future.(Side note: We also own a Ninja stick blender [came with a food processor attachment, as well], and LOVE it.)

OK value. Not great, not terrible.

It worked pretty well. I was replacing a Black & Decker blender that was going out. As it was failing, I started to use a Black & Decker food processor first. I wanted a faster and simpler processI was not shooting for smoothies or that consistency, but did want fruits and vegetable purees. Reviews I read said this was a good substitute for the Vitamix and was capable of making smoothies so I tried it out.Primary intended use: purees, smoothie - like mixes, willing to sacrifice commercial smoothness for 1/5 cost of VitamixNoise: I would guess this is in the 80-100 dB range. Just a guess. Loud but not so loud that I wanted earplugs (unlike the B&D food processor)Pros:+ Decent blending ability. Semi-smooth, rarely any big chunks, but definitely not commercial smoothie consistency+ Ice, frozen vegetables & fruits no problem* (except sometimes the mixture would cling to the outside & no tamper works with this blender)+ Very economical if you don't need commercial consistency & time value isn't a concern ( a smoothie that takes 40 seconds in Vitamix will easily take 3 or more minutes with this.)+ Carafe is easy to clean & scrapeCons:- 30 day warrantyCarafe cracked in upper corner in first 15 days / 10 uses- Somewhat messy to pour from (good spout in lid but thick mixes don't pour well)- Somewhat clunky of a lid system, and I think the lid is what cracked the carafe.- Lid is a pain to clean- Blades are ridiculously sharp, making them difficult to safely clean. Use soapy water in the carafe & turn it on... that'll have to do if you are like me and want to keep your digits safely attached to your hands- Frozen foods move to the outside and do not contact the blades. This is not designed for a tamper so you must stop, remove the lid, push down with a spoon, put lid back on, restart, and probably repeat multiple times. Avoid this by using more fluids or thawing, but it's something to account for.Summary:* I returned it in the first 30 days because of the carafe cracking. I wasn't crazy about having to replace that every year or so. I wanted something that would last.* This will do better than most blenders, but will not get the commercial smoothie consistency* This may save time and produce better results compared to a $30 blender you're replacing.* I ultimately went with the Vitamix & absolutely love it & feel it was worth the extra money vs this one. Reviews showed this to be in the same class, but it's not even close. But this could be a good value proposition depending on your needs and budget.
