Ziploc Big Expandable Storage Bags, 5ct

The 5 large Ziploc bags I received are not clear, as pictured on the manufacturer's box (and shown online). The bags are tinted blue, and each is printed all over one side (see photo). The manufacturer's box does not specify any color. Since I bought these to protect ongoing knitting projects--e.g., sweaters & lap blankets--I suppose the color should not trump function; still, I was disappointed when I discovered that the contents did not match the photos on the box. (I will say that some might find it helpful to have the inch & cm markings which are printed on opposite edges, as well as the 4.5" x 4.5" ruled space to list contents.) Each 3-gallon bag is 15-1/8" x 15-1/8", plus 3" for the handle and zip strip. The plastic is, of course, thicker than smaller baggies; but right out of the box, they all have "pockmarks" in the same places, presumably from the manufacturer's packing process. Since I plan to re-use these bags as projects get finished--I'm not using them for long-term storage--I wonder how long they will actually last. My experience is that the zip strips on Ziploc-brand bags are easy to use and stay closed, so I will have to be very careful in opening these bags repeatedly, especially from the middle, under the handles. The handle strip is of double thickness, but I anticipate that the handles will tear away easily enough in time. I can use these bags as they are; and for the price, they're okay. But if you are, say, a vendor and want clear plastic bags for your products, I would not recommend this item to you.
