Looks Beautiful
By Meir S. Hornung on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2012
The cabinet looks really beautiful and expensive once it is built. Don't be too scared when you open the box and see how many pieces there are to assemble. It takes time, but the pictures in the instructions are very helpful and it goes together smoothly. It will wobble significantly until you nail the back panel so don't be nervous when it starts wobbling. It stabilizes shortly thereafter.

Could be better
By Gerry K on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2012
I purchased this unit to go with a matching media stand, also by SEI which was an astoundingly fine piece of furniture. I was very disappointed when I opened this box. I'll admit that once together, it looks really nice, and that is the only reason I gave it three stars. Getting into that state was a chore! They used the dreaded turn lock fasteners. They were cheap and only a few turned all the way where they are supposed to without bending, so I had to leave them half way. I'd expect that for a $99 book shelf not a $300 cabinet. Some of the holes did not align perfectly. Dowel holes were too deep. The particle board was loosely formed to the point edges and corners were crumbling. The screws that secured the back panel were so cheap, the heads SNAPPED off under moderate hand pressure! I can't understand the difference in quality between my Media stand and this tower other that this tower was made in CHINA and the stand was made in Vietnam. Welcome to the wonderful world of made in China. I wonder if all the other glowing reviews had something to do where they were built. Perhaps I was unlucky and got a China build. If anyone else had one built somewhere else, let me know, but I'll call this one how I see it.
