The watch has a great water resistance. The light is not bad. It’s very comfortable on any size wrist it has a good thickness. I like the fact that solar power versus paying for a battery. it’s a great value for your money. I like the color so overall it is a great watch. I highly recommend it.

First let me say im starting with 3 stars as this watch just arrived on time and as advertised, the issues I have may become non issues as I get to know the watch at which point I think 4 stars will be warranted. The biggest issue Im having is being able to read the grey on black numbers and other info on the face of the watch. At most arm resting angles glare from the room wash out the numbers causing me to make a concerted effort to turn my wrist to bring the watch face more square to my eyes, this makes it difficult to "just give a glance" instead I have to turn my wrist, now you might say thats a small thing but right now its annoying to have to bring my wrist parallel to the ground to just to discern any information. The other issue is the ridiculous owners manual...as stated by others it makes a fiasco of trying to accomplish learning something with out flipping front to back to middle and back again. The watch is large but not outlandishly so in relation to the style of other large watches you see today. The band seems comfortable, however my wrist started to sweat as soon as I put it on. Im not sure if I completely understand the manual in regards to the tide chart, I get the feeling that you need to know the offset of where you are in relation to your home city setting on the watch, at which point you need to set that into the watch. The beach where I fish is 200 miles from my home city so the tide differential might be substantial. As I said Im starting with 3 stars hoping to go to 4 after I get to know the watch. Im going scuba diving next week so it should be a good durability test for it. I will update after a month or so. EDIT 10/15/2015 : Im sticking with 3 stars as the watch is just ok. First: the band is pretty comfortable so that's not an issue. Second: It took a solid 2-3 weeks b4 my eyes adjusted to the display, Until they adjusted they wanted to read the black background area as the time display and the grey time display as the background. A way to think of this is with that optical illusion that is a picture a vase that is also a picture of 2 people facing each other. That was the effect on my eyes causing the watch to look like gibberish until my brain flipped the background to black and the numbers to grey. Very annoying, and still hard to read at any angle other than straight on Third: The illumination is just ok. In complete darkness it is adequate but in low light it doesn't really do the job. Fourth: The manual is functional after you practice with it I suppose Didn't get to really test the tide thing yet so there is still always the possibility for improvement In Summary: This is an ok watch that didn't break at 100" under water, not having to need a battery is great eventually I suppose, the display kinda sucks but it is a functional watch. Is it worth the $100 bucks? Probably more like $75 IMHO but its still working and no ornamental screws have fallen out yet sooo...
