Great product and looks terrific in my pantry

These are much sturdier and heavier gauged wire than what I expected for the price, and from the picture. They were very easy to install, about 20 minutes total time for the two 15” wide baskets I purchased for my pantry, and they look terrific. They are holding much more weight than I thought they would, and still glide very smoothly. My only complaint is the packaging, they were completely enclosed in styrofoam, which kept them from any damage. However, due to the clingy static, the tiny beads from the styrofoam got inside the glides and clung to the wire baskets including the plastic liners on both, as well as my clothes and all over the carpet. A hand held vacuum cleaner was the only way I was able to clean the mess up. The tape holding the rubber protectors on each glide kept them from any damage, but left a sticky residue that required cleaning with Goo Gone. To spite the mess from the packaging, I would strongly recommend these pull out baskets, you will not be disappointed.

If you have 16" deep, 15" wide cabinets like we do these work great, but only barely.

Now that I've completed the not-really-necessary learning curve, I'm ordering a few more of these. They are great for the money - IF they fit in your units. because the manufacturer doesn't offer a good side mounting option for these (why not?) I had to install support my own support shelving, (see the image) do some serious footwork - as well as some final squeezing - to get the sides to stop dragging and work smoothly in my 15"+ wide cabinet opening, so be prepared for that extra fussing. I also drilled out the rivets holding the riser mounts in place. All they were accomplishing here was to waste another 3/4" of height. The Pros: These racks will each hold a total of five 750ml wine bottles (1 over 4) on their sides, and are pretty sturdy for their own weight. By removing the base risers like I did it you can maybe fit more of these in place stacked in the average cabinet opening. The only reason I could see where I'd leave the risers in place would be for bushing out a side-mounting of the slides in face frame cabinets. Slight slide-to-basket fastening hardware mods (like larger double-wire clamping plates - so you could attach the slides to the thicker, more widely-spaced side wires) would add this no-brainer mounting option. This is only one simple addition that could make these baskets much more attractive to a very large aftermarket kitchen cabinet accessory market. there must be more I haven't thought of yet (like suspension mounting?), but then again the manufacturer hasn't either.
